Taking the advice of someone who says I've tracked with repaired tires with no issues is like taking the advice of someone who says I've been playing russian roulette with no issues.

I've had a tire fail under load at 90mph ... it's not fun.

Here's what happened to one of the team's cars I race with at Daytona last year at around 145mph:

Miraculous escape, but that could have had tragic consequences.

I can't believe that it even needs to be said, on a Ferrari forum no less ... replace your damage tires if you plan to track your vehicle.

Now if you value your life less than the cost of new ties, proceed with tire roulette.

The OP never said anything about tracking his car with a repair, only post #6 did.
Let’s keep the nature of the OP’s question in perspective; “ I got a nail in thread, can I repair this?”
Yes, you can repair it instead of spending hundreds of $ on a set of new tires.
    Get real.

Actually I think I remember that wrong as well. The Op asked the track question on the fifth post. I knew he asked that somewhere. :)

    Here are a few pointers.

Make sure you have at least half a brake pad left. Trackdays are hard on street pads.
Alternatively switch to a Pagid RSC2 pad. Brilliant pad for road and track. It will accomkdate the pad wear indicator.

Don't forget to have your brake fluid checked and possibly replaced prior to tracking. Motul RBF 700 or Castrol React SRF Racing are both great choices.

You also need to tighten your wheels to 135 nm.

Bring a tyre pressure gauge. Set your pressures to 32 PSI hot squared.

Get an alignment done. You can't track a car with bad alignment. Toe just get knocked out of whack over time. Any reputable alignment shop can do it and should have your specs in their database. Takes about 20-30 minutes.

Bring a torque wrench and retighten your wheels after the first outing.

    Have fun:)

Thank you very much for the advice!

What is hot squared? 32psi on all 4 tires when the tires are warmed up?
