    Photo copyrights:
Always the usual "excuse": "I found them on the internet............."
Total lack of respect for other people's property. I call this theft.
How many times have we been thru this here on fchat already?

Marcel, I agree with you totally - but sometimes the copyright-holder(s) is/are not mentioned when you found images on the Internet.
I found many photos from my archive on the Internet, most of them copied from my books etc.! You can not stop that....

    Walter:
"Finding" something on the internet doesn't entitle you to automatically "use" it, especially not without prior proper verification and checking of the actual copyright holder. That would require a bit of time and effort and the keyboard warriors and all the kids don't want to do that. They think they can just take it. It is theft and remains theft.
We have been thru this a hundred times already. YOU, as a pro photographer, know exactly what intellectual property is.

Photo copyrights: The illegal use/theft of them is one of those never ending big problems, and is the main reason I only post a few things which I am not too concerned about. I will not post the majority of what I have regardless of whether the photos are from my collection, or ones that I have taken over the years.

There seem to be few "keyboard warriors" and "kids" here on FChat who continually exhibit lack of respect for the copyrights of images they "find/see/steal on the i-net".
Perhaps we all should stop responding to and just ignore any requests they post regarding their stolen images ? I know I often do.

Marcel, agree with you again - but as mentioned before, its sometimes NOT possible to source the copright holder when an image appears on a website.

Perhaps the respectful thing would be to not use it as reference, let alone copy & paste it (i.e. repeat the offense) for mere amusement.

    Hello,

So, you are right I put here some photos without copyright...
My apologies if I offended someone.
Sometimes you should to use photos to explain things.
    That's what I do !
The photos used are in small size...
Everyone will be able to watch them but probably not get commercial use from them.
Sharing is not the basis of community life?
I find unfortunate that we can no longer discuss a subject that fascinates us by this kind of debate.
I am even faced with the problem of copyright (for who don't know, I'm photographer too).

    I whish you the best.

And if it is necessary to specify it : I never use historical photos without copyright in the books I wrote !

The photos shown here are just the result of research and serve me (as many of you I suppose) when researching the history of our favorite brand...

    Best regards,
    Arnaud Meunier

I have seen a picture posted on line somewhere by @Boudewijn which shows the left upper part of the dash of #5149 at the 1963 Paris Salon.

Very historic car, battle scars notwithstanding. Flanked by Ford GT 40 #1076 and a Chaparral I.
Many thanks to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum- this is one of several times they've shown it at this concours.
    Thanks for the pictures.
