61 GTE for sale.....#2421 I bought this car 4-5 years ago in anticipation of restoring it, but have since reshuffled my priorities and decided to sell the car. I bought it from a collector in Michigan who had several other Ferrari's. The car has an all original drive train, Marcel Massini Report, and never been apart with the exception of the motor out for a rebuild some years back. Since the rebuild the engine has not been started and the car itself requires a full maintenance attention as it has been sitting for some 20 plus years. There are some extra parts that i got with the car that i have not inventoried, however i do know that there is no tool kit with the car. It has a new ANSA exhaust that I purchased for the car. Glass, interior, trunk, wheels, spare and other components are all original parts and condition. Car has one repaint job, not sure when this was done. Wow, I bought a donor GTE in 1989 for $7,000 and had it converted and rebooted to a 250GTO by Greg Jones. Wish I still had that gorgeous machine.
Wow. Til how cheap 250s can be. Genuinely didn't know any of them were under 7 figured (probabaly because this still isn't exactly in my price range )
Lol. You win some you loose some. Sold a lotus elite for 15k about a year before they all broke 6 figures out of nowhere
Well my Dad did better than your Dad..lol..actually it was my brother that benefitted. In 1972 my Dad bought a '67 330 GTS from artist Jamie Wyeth of Chadds Ford PA. Jamie's grandfather was the classic painter N.C. Wyeth and his father the painter of dark shades Andrew. My Dad found the 330 in somewhat cosmetic pain but mechanically healthy. He paid $6500 for it. I drove that car in my late teens early 20s. Great chick car. He offered it to me for my engineering degree graduation but I turned it down wanting a GTC instead [another story]. Umpteen years later after my Dad passed my brother sold it for $2.4m. Sorry for the de-rail. The GTE is a very unique design and a truly classic vintage Ferrari. When I ran Cars on 5th in Naples I was happy to award one of the Best in Show Awards to an owner that made his GTE better over the years. This car is a perfect opportunity for someone to do the same.

I grew up in Delaware (Greenville) and was friends with a girl who’s step father had a similar type Ferrari. It was red. Didn’t think anything of it at the time. Just remember brushing up against in the garage and being scolded. Now restoring my own 330. The vintage Ferrari world is a small one.
Absolutely love this, good luck! I'll make my way to the vintage life one day, hopefully in the not-so-distant future. Anybody here go to Tower Hill?
