    Another engine-out belt change and timing reset after 7 years and 16,000 miles on my 1990 Mondial t. Also installed a new upgraded water pump from Ricambi and coolant hoses "while in there."

    I also discovered that 'intake compensation throttle' was sticking due to old lithium grease. I cleaned that up and just lubricated it with a little WD-40.

    Whats the upgrade on the pump vs original? Same as 1989?

    Interesting! Seems as an obvious upgrade on an engune out. Is it aesthetically similar? Noticeable/issue in terms of originality? Good for 1989 Mondi T?

    My Hill Engineering tensioners only have 16,000 miles on them from when I installed them new at the last belt change, they looked ok, so I did not change them. The only other thing was new gaskets.

    What do you all estimate as the price of an engine out T major/ belt service these days? need to get one.. trying to mentally prepare! ha
