Any black F12 owners have Xpel Stealth PPF?

    I sent my car in for full-car PPF. The owner of the PPF establishment really sold me on the Xpel Stealth which makes the gloss black into the flat black. I personally have never been into the flat color and personally like the wet paint look but the PPF guy seems absolutely convinced Xpel Stealth is the way to go for black cars.

    Has anyone done this? I haven't seen many flat F12. I don't think they look better than gloss in pictures, but I have never seen them in person. The car is already at the shop, and the work likely starts on Monday... wanted to get some opinions here before it's too late

    I did it on a black 991Porsche and I love it. It does a great job of protecting the car, plus I’m surprised and how many people give it a thumbs up. I think a flat black F12 would look epic, Ferrari would paint it Matt Black, but would have charged you +25k

    You already said it yourself. You like glossy cars, so you should be getting Xpel Ultimate and not the Stealth product. It’s comes down to personal preference. I personally don’t like gloss on almost any car. The reflections are too distracting for my eyes and I can’t see the actual lines of the car as pronounced as I’d like. I get Stealth on almost all of my cars.

    yea I personally like gloss. the PPF guy obviously has good eye and seen more finishes on these cars so I have to give him some credence. I just have to decide whether to give him the reign over my own vision in hopes for an unexpectedly positive result. even here, 2 votes for the flat finish. do you have any pictures of xpel stealth on a black car?

    Gloss vs matte is nothing but personal preference. Who cares what he likes if you like gloss? Also the stealth film is more expensive.

    I agree. When the PPF shop recommended it, my thought was to try something new based on the shop's enthusiasm for Xpel stealth for my F12. All my other cars have been and are gloss. I am looking for anyone who did similar thing with their car hopefully with some pics to help me better my decision.

    excellent, ty! got little sheen to it on your maserati. I like you left your rear spoiler gloss. It contrasts very well. got any more pictures of the MC? beautiful cars! I actually like what it did to the white speciale, although I may be little biased there :)

    Yes! Any bright reflections on Stealth will be smoothed out and just look like sheen. Here's another front pic I found. I left the carbon fiber parts gloss cuz I don't like matte carbon.

    thanks! I was going to do copper/bronze stripe around the side skirts and possibly powder coat the wheels bronze as well. I think your copper center stripe works well with the matte black.

    I'm paying over 8k for mine.. mine already had xpel on it which I'm replacing bc they didn't wrap edges... seemed kinda excessive for a ppf for corrected paint under. another place quoted 6k but with precut application. I'm still in honeymoon phase for mine. hopefully I'll become price sensitive soon hah

    Still in honeymoon as well, had it last friday! Ran 800miles to come back, fantastic!
    Guys quoted me 6k€ with paint correction before, precut.
    I will see in the next weeks, the car won't go out much until anyway.
