Last GPF UK cars were built July 2019. Of course there will be some anomalies. My 812 is non GPF but wasn’t registered until 2020.
Just checked Dupont registry today and currently there are 45 Ferrari 812 SF on sale just in the U.S.!, more than any other Ferrari model! Anyone knows why there are so many of them on sale? Considering the replacement would be most likely a hybrid, How would you predict the 812 SF/GTS market in the coming years?
I imagine folks are moving to the GTS and Competizione models. I sold my 612 when I bought an FF, and the F12 when I bought the 812, etc. We’ve elected to keep our 2019 812SF long term.
In the UK complete opposite, went from >50 cars to <20 in a couple of months...Higher mileage cars very briefly dipped below £200k and the market now recovered about 20k GTS always less than 5 on the market holding around retail...
On the Ferrari pre-owned site, there are 32 cars listed for the US (actually, this number probably also includes Canada). There were over 80 a few months ago. Your concern is misplaced IMO. The number of 812's for sale is dwindling rapidly. If you want the car, you should get it now. If you find a pre-GPF car in your color, don't negotiate too much. You win by owning the car, not by squeezing $$'s out of the seller.
Currently 6 available in the official dealership network in UK. I believe the limited availability of the Competitzione is a factor.
The last of the “untouched/unrestricted” N/A Ferrari V12 engine! (and perhaps some early ‘20’s that made it through?)
I had an early 20 with no GPF. Right now its a very strong sellers market on many models. Its such a weird time, I’d be afraid to make a broad prediction, but other, probably much smarter people than me have observed that which goes up, does (eventually) come down. Normally, but maybe “normal” breaks down when confronted with “last of” and “best of” the V12 variants.
Bought a 2019 812 SF from a guy with an F8 spider and a GTS on order. My first Ferrari and it is absolutely spectacular. Not sure how this car could really be improved.
Best drivers car I ever had- except for the GTS with the top down. It was a hard decision to give up my SF for the GTS but for a street car I love top down driving. Enjoy it a drive the hell out of it! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
In December of 2019 I posted here a compilation taken from Auto Trader UK adverts and at the time there were thirty-two 812 SF offered for sale and the average selling price of them was £ 284.307. Today I checked again and now there are twenty-one 812 SF for sale with an average selling price of £ 246.398. That represents a reduction of 13% on the average selling price in the space of 1,5 years. Not bad…... Since the beginning of 2020 I’ve also been checking on Mobile DE (the biggest European cars selling platform where are put for sale cars from most European countries except the UK and Switzerland), the evolution of the F12 B and the 812 SF second-hand adverted cars for sale. Comparing the November 2020 information with the one from today, we see that the number of F12s B adverted for sale decrease almost 40 per cent while the number of 812s SF is stable being more or less the same. One interesting thing about the evolution of the 812 SF adverted selling prices is that in November 2020 the majority of the cars were in the price range interval of Euros 250 – 390 K and now, 35 per cent of them are in the interval Euros 390 – 560 K. Since we don’t know how many of the adverted cars have effectively been sold during that period, is extremely difficult to evaluate the real state of this market. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thats a great chart. Thank for sharing. Looks like the sweet spot is the between 300-360, but then 42 at 390-560. Thats a big jump, possibly 2020 models being sold on consigment for the customers incoming GTS? Regardless, I am forever grateful I bought mine in March this year and am over the moon happy. What an incredible car that is extremely capable of scaring the crap out of you and then coddle you with comfort and luxury. Amazing combination.
Reviving old thread for outlook with current economics. Selling my 812 through the dealer and all cars are above 400k in the US. Listed at above MSRP Seems like they are very pricey now. What are people seeing ? I presume a lot of sales are for incoming gts. Wish I could keep both but doesn’t make sense. Sad to see her go. Any recent purchases or sales? Mine was 427 MSRP before the increase in price. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I did a quick search and could only find this car for less than $400k (likely due to the high mileage): https://ainventory.eurocaroc.com/vehicle-details/2019-ferrari-812-superfast--stunning-interior--carbon-fiber--hatchback-3a0fcf3641754947bcd42ffe6cfaeb27 The next cheapest I could find in the country was $419k I paid $360k for mine last year at it was quite a high spec model, glad I got it while I could!
Oh man Tony you got a deal! I've been looking for another F car recently and I fear I may have missed the boat on a F12 or 812, I got my FF right before what I fear is the upswing but I was looking at 250ish for an F12 and now I'm seeing 275-325 is where those are at and 812s are easily 450k cars for the right spec
