My daughter is graduating (high school and college at the same time) and her dream car is a Macan. I found a good deal on a 2015 S with 51,000 miles. Anything I should be on the lookout for or are these pretty reliable? thanks in advance
Macan S is a terrific car. While they're pretty reliable, I think the 2015 had the same transfer case problems as the Cayenne. Good news is, last time I bought a used Porsche from a dealer they were able to offer me an extended warranty (which is negotiable and pro rated refundable)
Dual enrollment (home school + community college) She has worked extremely hard we could not be more proud. On another note visited Porsche South Orlando today, ready to buy (title for trade and check in hand for the difference) only to be treated like an idiot. They lost a customer for life. The hunt continues
I have had a loaded 2015 Macan S since 2016, and it’s never left me stranded. There have been no significant issues. I had an exhaust rattle under warranty and the dealer replaced half the system for a small crack in a heat shield. I would have welded it up in 30 seconds. The power receptacle for the radar detector works 98% of the time but doesn’t blow the fuse. The wife let the tire air pressures go down and eventually it went into limp mode because it didn’t want to hurt the differential due to changes in tire diameter. I aired up the tires and 6 fault codes disappeared. Find a good independent repair shop for service if you need it. I would buy another one...
Update, found a 2017 Macan just outside of Atlanta picking it up on Saturday and surprisingly my daughter
