Ferrari Caliper Decal Source & Size on 550

Decals are fine but the Ferrari script should be silkscreened as was done at the Factory.

EDIT: Just had a brainfade, the CCM typeface isn't needed. However in that same thread close to those posts there should be a complete description of the Ferrari letter size. Best way is to type it up and have the stickers made and apply below procedure.

I bought a set of these which are the correct size for my California ... not sure about the size on the 550 but they look good on my car (I had my calipers painted yellow and they have been fine). The factory stencils the logos, but from a foot away you can't tell the difference and they are holding up.

The auction says the red lettering is out of stock but they have them, just send them a note if you need the red ones.

 

As long as the decals are overpainted with clear, nearly impossible to tell decals from stencils and paint.

Keep in mind that the "seam" for the door does not remain at a constant relative distance (as it travels from the top to the bottom) from the sheild.

My measurements are therefore given with these provisos......

For the "across" distance from the door seam.

-exactly 3 and 1/2 inches measured in a straight line across from the door seam to the BOTTOM "V" point of the sheild.

For the "down" distance from the hood seam

-exactly 2 and 3/8 inches measured in a staight line down from the hood seam to the TOP of the CENTRAL "V" point at the TOP of the sheild. In this case, I say "central V point" because at the top of the sheild there are 3 "V" points...one on each side and one on the middle (central).You want to measure to the top of the middle one.
The bottom of the sheild has only one "V" point...so, no worries there.

To get these particular measurements for both axises in an EXACT STRAIGHT LINE, you will have to have the sheild in the exact same spot that mine is on my car. It was a factory sheild, so it better be positined right!,

 

Don't know if this helps, but here are the front measurements on my '98 550. Roughly 65x14mm. I can get the rears also if you need them.

I have about 50 decals in a plastic bag, but since the move, do not know where they are.

 

I will look tomorrow. Already gave some spares to another owner, FBB I think. Not sure what size I needed for my Mov'It brakes, so I bought a bunch of them in different sizes.

 

Found them. I have 3" (~76 mm) in black or 2.5" (~64 mm) in white if you want them. Lots of bigger ones, too.
