My tdf needs new tyres. Which brand/model would you recommend? I use my car for long trips with all weather conditions so may not go for semi-slick again. Any advice from fellow tdf owners will be most welcome !

I would recommend the Pilot Sport 4S.

The OEM Pirelli Corsa are not bad tires but I think the Michelin are a better choice for street driving- as long as you won't be driving in snow.

Cup2’s more challenging to get up to temp

I need to change mine to 4S
Seems on the Corsas, they spin a lot in low gear, though could be the enormous power.

4s is ready to go pretty much at all time, and much better in wet condition. But I gotta say cup 2 still better than trofeo R in terms of get up to the temp.

Agree, once warm, Cup2’s have much better grip. But takes more time to heat them up.

A lot of people say this. I put brand new Pirelli P Zero Corsa (OEM spec) on my TDF last summer - this is just before the 4S was available. So far my car has excellent grip. My understanding is all tires have only so many heat cycles in them, but the Corsa, being so track focused, they have less heat cycles until they begin falling off in terms of grip.

Just put a set of 4Ss on last week.
A nice change over the Pirellis.
