I think this is like anything: wax, polish, glass cleaner, tire shine, wheel cleaner... they are different and some work better than others.
My detail shop sells Kamikaze and Gyeon products. I have always used Kamikaze ceramic on my Ferrari’s with great results. My DD AMG wears Gyeon, and it’s also awesome. Different coatings work well with different paints.

Is ceramic really worth the money if the car already is wrapped with PPF

It’s two different products for two separate reasons. The PPF will help protect your paint from damage. The ceramic coating is there to make the car’s paint look deeper, richer, and have a better shine. Also, I personally find that ceramic coating makes the car much easier to clean, saving me time on maintenance washes.
Don’t confuse the two, they are totally separate but work well together. I have both PPF and ceramic coating on all of my cars.

Doesn’t the cost largely depend on paint condition and required prep?
