Back to Andreoli for the 3rd time during our stay (and I suspect there will be 2 more visits). Tonight on their patio right at sunset in the warm arizona evening was wonderful. Ania and I discussed the fact that while there might be a restaurant here and there that reminds one, or maybe even "proverbially" takes one to the homeland of that cuisine, a "near literal" example of such is extraordinarily rare. I mentioned this to her tonight when I found myself very nearly literally forgetting that I was in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA and not eating at a small mom and pop place in Italy. The food and the way the place is run and the way the food is prepared truly "take you there". Its rare, and wonderful. (thus we will eat here 5x in our 23-days in Scottsdale). Tonight's meal was more of their outstanding, creamy bufala mozzarella, and then a very al dente penne with veal meat sauce. There was an "as good as it gets" cannoli and espresso afterwards. Taking my mom to a doctors appointment at 3:30pm today. Since its somewhat close and they have a patio. Take her for an early dinner at the French Canadian bistro. I'll probably do their beef dip and poutine.

The bistro was booked solid. They are only allowed 20 people on their patio. Ended up doing fish and chips instead. Restaurant wasn't very busy. Got my halibut, three fried oysters and three shrimp.
Halibut makes the best fish and chips.................. Bought ground beef yesterday. Going to make homemade cheeseburgers tonight. Craving a rare burger and non of our restaurants will do even med rare. I'll make fries as a side.
