There is a criminal investigation going on regarding dodgy contracts and kickbacks for awarding government contracts. Who knew that would go on in Australia? Anyway one of the alleged bribes was an F40. Here is a except of an article on the subject.

The pair had worked for RMS or its predecessor the Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) since 2010.

After being involved in the creation of quotes, Mr Dubois would then recommend contracts with a sufficient profit margin to ensure he got a kickback. Those kickbacks were received either through cash payments, expensive gifts or a slush fund linked to company MWK Developments, controlled by a friend of Mr Dubois.

Mr Dubois was also handed debit cards linked to accounts run by contractor companies, which he could use to meet his living expenses.

From 2009, and particularly from 2014, Mr Dubois obtained cash and luxury items including a Rolex watch, several Porsches and a Ferrari F40 sports car.

I heard that there was another very dodgy guy on this forum that used to own an F40. Maybe the gummint took that one too?

Similar dodge story, a friend bought a clapped out Porsche Boxster from some friendly middle eastern guys, with the intent to make a race car, it was registered and when the new rego and the NRMA green slip arrived the green slip was for a Honda motor bike with Porsche VIN and the amount $59. What entrepreneurial chaps they were
