Still not over. 3 days to apply a full wrap. Then one day for ceramic application. I had put a total of 10 miles on the car. Can’t wait to get her back.
Your going to be very impressed, it really does add a wet glossy look with protection. Best thing ever! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think a week is reasonable. I think they are doing mine a little quicker because they only do one car at a time. They were also using my project for advertising.
I took mine in this morning and started going over my expectations (which I thought were reasonable given the car.) They told me they couldn't take the rear cavallino off...they never do that just cut around it. Told me the entire door has to come off to remove the side mirrors and the only way to do it was to cut the film and have a seam between the mirror and window. There were some other issues and they generally felt too high-volume so I elected not to have them do the job. So I'm going with another smaller shop where the owner (adult not a kid) does all the work himself. Will take him over a week, and he will work with me on details like the mirrors and cavallino (I'm probably removing those myself in his shop.) Anyway, longer time and more effort by me, but hopefully it's worth it.
I wouldnt worry about the horse or the mirrors. Pro installer will do it properly. Just make sure they cover all the paint even under the car. If your anal like me i even did inside the door jams
I got my car back today and it looks amazing. They did not remove the cavallino or the side mirrors. It looks awesome. Completely unnecessary. However you must trust your gut instinct. I’ve used my guys before on my Porsches. Other than my wife being angry about how much I spent on the detail I had a great experience.
Same on mine too , no removals either. I’m guessing you told Mrs. Chizz it was about half of the real cost…… Just an educated guess.
Didn’t get a picture but went to a restaurant tonight and the car drew a crowd. The car was parked out front and as we ate it was amazing watching the amount of people who stop to admire this car. It’s a looker for sure. The attention can be a bit much for me. I’m Not very ostentatious I just love this freaking car.
Wow!!!! You might as well have sent the car back to Maranello. I thought I was OCD. You got me beat my friend. I bet it it will be amazing when you get it back next year.
