I think the gated cars are making the final move to collectors. We will not see them again for another 15-20 years then we will see them for 2-3 times this price

only data I have is from FChatters way more
Into researching the numbers than I. I will pst some color breakdowns that I saved, Rosso Corsa was about 45-51% production, not necessarily rare by color, but forever more desirable. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I was actually talking about the 430. Not a lot of data available on actual production breakdown unless I am mistaken. I don’t know about the 360.

Taz knows his s**t, from there I think the general consensus is 10% gated US 430 production, maybe 550 total, 275 coupes and 275 spiders, again just an estimate.

For real collectors (guys with say more than 5 high end exotics), I don’t think a manual version of a mass-produced regular production model would have their attention. They are buying F40s or Carrera GTs.

I think a market like this will be driven by middle to upper middle class guys who want a fun weekend car as a 2nd or 3rd car . If this ends up being the case, there are lots of guys in that income bracket who can comfortably buy a sub-$150k car but the number of buyers like this contracts severely by $200k.

Will be interesting to see where this kind of market goes and if the current large premium for 1 feature can sustain itself.

I don't think it is anywhere near 10% in the US. I know from first hand experience our local dealer delivered maybe 5% with sticks. What few were produced were mostly 2005-7. By 2008, Scuds dominated the deliveries. Some people who ordered sticks never received one. At the time, you could order a new car and flip it for a tidy profit. Those people all ordered paddles and mostly spiders because that's what the aftermarket wanted.

Pretty sure you can’t equate class w cars... as debt is cheap.... a middle class chap can finance some big cars right now ... so a real car collection might not be what you see.

Sure you can, a $150k per year income driving a 10 year old truck with no history of buying expensive exotics is not going to walk out with a new F8 spider with a 20% down payment. Guys in my income class have limits, pure and simple.

Driving a F1/auto is just not the same. Maybe it’s just me but I like to control the clutch it’s not about the speed it’s about the love of driving a sports car being in control. It’s like riding in a super car and diving one. Don’t need a clutch maybe do away with everything and have a self driving car. U brag about how good ur autopilot. Lol after seeing the show on Netflix guys with supercars could not even drive there F1 in a drag race.

That was the WORST eBay description ever for a car, I’m surprised they didn’t call it a Corvette. Numb nuts.

This was a consigned vehicle at a dealership that deals almost exclusively in American muscle cars. They clearly know nothing about the 360 or Ferraris in general so their description was laughable. In addition to saying it was a "F1" and a "manual stick" in the same sentence, they said the color was Mercury (Ferrari made no such color) and that it had Modular Wheels. Nope. Also, didn't mention other important options like Power Daytona seats (somewhat rare and desireable) and Factory fender shield (definitely desirable) or a Tubi (definitely a plus.)

Goes to show you that if you're going to go the consignment route, work with a dealer that know these cars and how to market them. This was just a piece of iron to them.

Yeah it happens, I did get burned selling with a consignment group. I thought they were Porsche specialists. Not the case when after sale I was billed for taking off one of the front wheels to get to the hood to recharge the battery as part of their lack of test drives.
