New here, plan to be posting more frequently and recently in search of a new F car.

Given I've not had relationship with f dealer, the options are very limited basically pay to play. There's a bianco avus f8 1,600 miles for 50K over sticker (not a spider and not even CPO). I now see f8 spiders going for over 100K. I understand the wait game but at the same time, I've only seen pista spiders fetch 100K+ over MSRP.

I don't want to go down the path of 488 then spec f8, depreciation is not so much an issue, more of the principle of things. I've found a red/tan f8 at another out of state dealer CPO for 5-10K over sticker, but I while I monitor all F8 CPOs I see prices rising.

what are your thoughts? Am I crazy to not wanting to pay 50K over MSRP?

No, you're not crazy, but the market is what the market is... If you're patient you can save the $50k, or if you need it now then find the best deal available. I bought a well spec'd 488, that can tide me over for quite a while, perhaps until after the F8 replacement comes along. Choice, the ultimate problem :)

Not sure what allocations are like in Texas, but worth remembering that F8 was supposed to entice new blood to the brand.

Have you had the direct conversation for a new car allocation?

I'd ask another dealer. The salesperson I talked to here only mentioned a longer wait time for people without an existing relationship with them. But then he was also hoping to upsell me over a 458 spider they had just gotten in... maybe once we got down to a price with options the story might have changed. Still... buying something that's in stock to drive during the year+ wait for your ordered F8 is not a bad thing, and should get you slightly better financing through them to boot if you're interested in that.

    Don’t understand the problem.
    U what a car now?
A fully optioned f8 is like 330 but u got wait a year. I’d never pay 50k over stickers myself

Yep that’s what I ended up doing so I don’t have to wait a year. Plus new F customer so now I get to spec spider Sf90 plus on the fence about waiting for SF60 or the replacement to be announced June rather than getting an F8 Spider.
