What have you guys used to polish the stock oil cap? Mine has some hairline scratches, nothing deep, that should polish out, but before I try different polishes figured I'd ask what others have been successful with.

    Thanks,
    Cheers,
    Corey

Treat it with 600 wet dry sandpaper and go all the way up to 3000 grit. Buff with a buffer not by hand. Aluminum needs heat and your hand can't produce enough. And then you can use a paint filler pen to touch up the logo.

    OK, I can do that.

For buffing, can I use something like this?

I already have one for polishing other stuff, but I really don't do much aluminum polishing.

Look up a bench grinder polishing kit, you get a bench grinder, the polishing mops and the polish sticks. Be sure to avoid 300 watt motors as not enough power
