I prefer aquanaut cause of the larger size. Fits me better.

 

Nautilus is 39-40 mm. Aquanaut (5886 and 5168) is 42.2. Foe me- 42 mm is perfect size. 41 is good. Anything smaller is too small for my wrist.

wait a minute, I thought they always give out the travel case. I have been getting the case with each watch from my AD, so I assumed it is standard.

me too. I also just started few years back only. Only have 5 pateks so far started with 5227. My wife recently got her 7118R and I FINALLY got my 5167A (which makes me wonder how much hype this whole craze would last. Her 7118R looks the price. Even though my 5167A is nice and only worth 23k, the difficulty of getting it far surpassed her 7118R due to the current hype). Of note, I really like your calatrava pilot. Just finally finished reading this thread.

Also started my journey with VC with Overseas...the SS blue dial coming which I get not for the hype but it really is a very gorgeous blue I have seen, including any Ferrari Blu... yes, better than your electrico!!

 

I know...but it looks very different on a wrist than in person/picture...

 

I pretty much sold everything other than my Pateks. I really like the 5524. It’s the perfect travel watch. My only regret is that I didn’t get it rose gold but I bought it before rose gold came out.

I think we are up to 12 Pateks between my wife and I. I still haven’t picked up my 5270 from the dealer. Have been traveling, had a death in the family so decided to delay pick up to my 50th in August.

Right now the only piece that excites me is 5968 white gold blue. I have the steel 5968 and green 5168. Thought I would add the blue to round out the trio. But I’ll probably do that in 2022 or 2023. I good foe the time being and frankly wven thought about selling some pieces and consolidating the collection or apply the funds to a minute repeater or something similar. Maybe a Richard Mille??

I used to not think much of the Mille but have started to grow fond of the pieces. Anyways- I’m in no rush to do anything. Will see how things roll over the next few months and figure out the next way Chu step.

 

Very nice plan! I like it. I was just at the RM boutique. No watches in the store except 6. This Covid thing is making all markets crazy including the 2 by 4 in homedepot! lol.

5968 white gold blue is just gorgeous! That is what I wanted too but the director just gave me 5167A instead because it just came in. I am like okay...

I recently took home a very special IWC Big Pilot from the boutique, which is not released to the public yet. When I registered it on myiwc, it does not even have a watch picture up. Only 25 in US, 250 in the world. Can't post picture until IWC releases their official announcement first in a month due to my agreement with them.

IWC like many brands has dubious limited edition release, where it just says "one of 500." But this one is very rare in the sense that it is truly numbered and white dial. I am actually debating letting it go after I saw your 5524. My AD said he just he got the 5524R for me on Tuesday. So I am torn...between this numbered Big Pilot and the 5524R. But if I let it go, I am sure the IWC boutique will be mad too. I really love the look on the 5524, but that big pilot is so unique with white dial...

This is definitely endless...
