What about O2 spacers? Gallardo owners seem to report they do not get CELs when deleting the cats and fool the rear O2 sensors with O2 spacers, without the need for a retune.

 

There is not much back pressure with the system headers with cats.
I think there is not much gain in power between the variant with cats to catless.

Daniel- Affirmative, those 200 series cats Fabio uses do not cause much backpressure at all.

 

I must be "challenged today" however I can not find that statement on his site. Can you point me to where?

 

Have not seen that on Fabio's site and most of us have unmodified Motronic ECUs with no problems.

Yup, with nothing to connect to the Lambda sensors, that makes sense. Mine has cats.

Dan- My guys had to replace one of the lambda sensors to get rid of a CEL lamp. Someone with an SD2 should be able to analyze.

 

We are down to a sensor or ignition coil. This has been dragging on so long I am ready to tell my indie to replace anything that has a socket

 

My car has been at the shop for 18 weeks as of today and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little frustrated…. but today was blissful……these engineered sex pots with remotes are getting installed and allegedly the car is only 2 weeks out……much love to our artisan friend!

Eric- You may get a little resonance, but not likely to bother you much.

 

I’m really excited. I’ll report in if/when the car is finally out of the shop and I get to take it for a rip.

Sweet. Installed mine 2 months back together with Fabios X pipe
Very happy with the X pipes sound, as I'm not going the headers way. Almost alway run with valves closed, as I find the deep burble too loud mostly.

Did you turn the mufflers over? The logo should be on the upper side so that it is not visible from the bottom by design. Also, Fabio makes Double H-Pipes like these. Never heard of him making X-pipes.

 

Fabio makes an X pipe ?

I would be curious to know how it sounds as I have his Double H (but removed it).

 

There is no X-pipe in his catalog, just the H pipe. Does not mean he cannot make one for somebody.

 

Fabio produce personal wishes also.

When I met Fabio in 2015, he had his 6-1 headers + his own X-pipe. That was (in my opinion) a much better sound. But a little too quiet with the HGTC mufflers. Here is a link to that set-up.



My 550 is resting a few months in France while I am in Norway. So not too active on the forum. It is great to see all the guys getting these exhaust modifications. Makes it interesting to see the results with different combinations. Happy summer!

 

This sounds very enticing. Would you mind posting a few short videos to share the sound? Perhaps a startup with some revs and a fly by (or driving video) or two. Or three.

the beginning of the clip is “open” then he hits the remote to close and you can hear the difference between oem and “rowdy”.

That doesn’t do the sound justice compared to what it sounds under load wide open above 4000 rpm in 2nd or 3rd.
