The reveal was actually quite flat - full of Galliera's marketing-speak but nothing we didn't already know and no great details because compared to the TdF and GTO there is less and less to differentiate. We're basically at peak ICE.
One has to love what a fuss they make of the 812C rear screen "80kg more downforce than the 812SF" and then manage to make the 812CA without it at all!
No word on numbers - because there wont be finite numbers... one less than demand (just like the Pista)

The claim is the rear wing over each seat is doing the same.

The fact that there was no specific information provided on exclusivity suggests to me that neither will be numbered. It may just follow the time limited model of the Pista and Pista Spyder with the latter being more rare. Numbered cars = Icona?

I think one in Argento Nurburgring with black wheels and no stripes would be tasteful

Did you say the Aperta's top is removable in that one has to remove it as opposed to automatically stowing?

Yikes , tell me I'm wrong

Pity he didn't get to try fitting the top to see how easy it is ..and stowing it . Looks great though.

Looks like you would want the 812 GTS then. The removable targa roof fits the ethos of the 812 Competizione better than the folding mechanism as it's track-focused.

So wait, is it true that the 812 SF and 812 GTS production have ended and that no more allocations will be made available?

That's what some media outlets are saying... That the Competizione replaces them and is a production ending run.

If I recall correctly, the 599 GTB and F12 continued for a year or two after their limited edition a counterparts.

No mention of production numbers... A true limited edition or another one of Ferrari’s evil tricks?

On their web site they call the 812 Competizione A a 'special series' but no mention of numbers , however nothing mentioned regarding the 812 Competizione ..so fair to assume it will NOT be a special series.

Yes on second thought, that is probably the path. The joy of seeing the new cars made me momentarily forget about the Pista/Pista Spyder model, and I'd been hoping both will be numbered....
