Sorry to hear that Rob, nothing more frustrating!
We are moving in the right direction. here we see the color and typography sample together with the original part. The silver lining is not yet embossed but will be with the production run so it will match the 3 dimensional visibility as on the orignal. Also the curved shape of the plastic cover will match the original later. Image Unavailable, Please Login
eBay was really great - I was able to talk to somebody that took care of the whole thing and refunded my money. Rob
It's been a while but we didn't give up and now have a prototype for a genuine looking horn button. Here is a comparison: Image Unavailable, Please Login Now I am waiting on the production of the first lotsize and will then make them available in our shop in only a few weeks.
Hi Stefan, That looks good! Are they available now? In other words, if I order one today, do I get the new authentic looking one? The reason I am asking is that the illustration on your shop site does not look nearly as convincing. Lars
Not yet, Lars. I am awaiting one last item before we can assemble them. The one you see in the shop is still the old one.

Very nicely done and congratulations on the achievement. I know how much work this is and the price is VERY inexpensive given the effort involved. I recommend every Dino owner buy at least one to keep as a spare.
Thank you for that Rob! I know you collected some similar experiences Yes, the price does not reflect my own hours, but only the ones I paid the suppliers and still I was not sure if we are in the range of what would be accepted for this product. Anyhow I enjoy making these buttons.
You shall find the procudt details here in our shop. The price is shown including 19% German VAT, at least if you are not logged in. Net $180.
Having a couple of years ago spent in excess of $12,000 recreating a full set of new gauges/instruments for a different project, including bezels similar to these, what would you consider to be a 'non-pricey' sum for this product? Just curious, as my experiences are so different......maybe I overspent?
Please be careful asking these questions to James, he is King of "Over the top" and has his own island If I recall correctly, it was he who sold an absolutely stunning red 330 GTC for a boat. A green boat A green boat with some wood and very nice instruments Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fantastic work Stefan, well done. The price is very fair IMHO considering the work that has gone into this item and the prominence of this part in any Dino. I wish they had been around 7/8 years ago when I was restoring my cars.It took me a long time to find genuine originals. As an aside, this horn push was also used in the 308 models and other Ferraris models of the era such as the 365 series albeit with a Ferrari cavalino on the centre button. It may be another sales opportunity for you to reproduce the Ferrari centre to insert in your assembly if the Dino demand proves lower than hoped/expected. I'm sure the Ferrari version is equally hard to find these days. Image Unavailable, Please Login
