Saw this car. The dealership knows the ownership history according to the ad (3rd owner, 1st owner traded in to them) and comes complete with stamped service booklets / tool kit / etc. Pre airbag car too. I'd do a compression test first though haha
This bidding is getting bonkers. At $135k right now. Who will be the 9th owner?! LOL at ShineKen's comment
That’s a enormous delta. I don’t believe that to be the case. We already saw a F1 car get 130k last year if my memory serves.
OK, the BAT car has me thinking! With that what would you put mine at +/-? 1999 355 Spider manual. 13k miles. CarFax "minor" rear end 3 years ago, documented dealer repair before & after. $40k interior restoration receipts last 5 years with goal of showing Platinum 2020 Cavallino. May 2021 Norwoods $17k major, new tires, full PPI done by IAC/PFA judge. All items addressed w/major. Pre-major compressions all 200. Pre-major leak down all 5%, except #1-10%, #7-12% only non-original part Tubi (original exhaust comes w/car). I can get it Classiche Certified for $7k, would that add any net value? I think there is a program with that for some kind of warranty, but maybe 355 too old for that?
That is a tremendous investment that would pay huge dividends in a B or GTS. I think a 20-25% deduction in value for Spider. My example would be $185k for a slightly higher mileage GTS that sold in last 4 months with similar providence. 25% deduct is a net $138,750. Just what I see and think.... that number could be climbing quickly though, since you will own a vehicle that represents less than 5-10% of all 355’s at that level and documentation. Maybe someone wanting the best of the best in spider see’s equality?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I bought a '98 GTB F1 late last year. Slightly more miles, no accident damage, silver/black, immaculate, just had major plus other work done. Built two months after the BaT one, and with a production number post steel valve guides. The delta in this case is exactly 50%. My car will soon be a manual for about $2,500 in parts. That delta is exactly why I bought an F1.
I think $138k might be a little high, but who knows if two people really want it and had the Classiche too. Interesting times on the Ferrari market.
Mine seems like a bargain then. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/ferrari-f355-spider.640580/
you might want to pull off market and wait a couple weeks. you have a great car and spec, only question would be the outstanding major. with a fresh major you are certainly in the 6-digits.
I think ur is worth 80 -85 not more. Yellow isn’t super desirable, wheels. If u look at inventory elsewhere including black horse motors that had 2 spider red 20k miles at 99k they don’t move as fast as the bat ones or the prices on BaT. Bat is a it of unicorn Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think the price at $87 k I have listed with a fresh service is on the money right now. A year from now I could be kicking myself but who knows.
I don't get it. Some idiot pays $135k + fees for a run of the mill, 98 red/tan gated B with 25k miles that has been in an accident while a 97 black/gray, gated B with 28k miles, manuals, tools, car cover, no accidents, sits for 39 days and counting at $115k. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/viewDetailsFilterViewInventoryListing.action?zip=06447&showNegotiable=true&sortDir=ASC&sourceContext=carGurusHomePageModel&distance=50000&sortType=DEAL_SCORE&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=d1120#listing=298485189 Image Unavailable, Please Login
That BAT sale makes me want to put my car up for sale! 96 gated spider red/tan with 39k miles....it would seem like a steal compared to 138K. Good day for 355 owners.
Red/Tan is going to have more desirability, hence command a premium....even with an "oops" on the CarFax. Even the previous owner @Culprit of that car now has a Red/Tan B.
So the most common F355 (Gated B), in the most common colors, red/tan, is the most desirable? OK. But I much rather have the black/grey.
In all seriousness, your F1 GTS should bring the same figures as these BAT berlinettas. If not, let me know and I’ll take it.
