I like that the pista is very lightweight. About two years ago dealer told me there would be 1500 pistas. Now another dealer told me there will be more than 4000.

    What are the correct numbers?

I am very thankful that so many were made as I had a chance to get one just like I would have ordered. It's a fantastic drive!

Regardless of the amount, it’s a badass car. I love mine and glad I picked one up. I heard 1500.

Hmmm. Ferrari sells about 10,000 units per year. At 6,000 Pista sales over 2 years, that would put Pista production at 30% of overall Ferrari production over that time period? Seems high to me.

Production ran a little longer than 2 years. Regardless it is a lot more them 1500 and probably closer to 5-6k. Still an awesome car, just not limited like originally predicted.

It’s limited to 6500 units (or whatever the number was by Ferr9000 and day355).

That was the person I was thinking of. If I remember he was a supplier for Ferrari.

It’s a fantastic car although getting a good spec’d one is starting to tighten. No one really knows the numbers manufactured with authority. Went thru the same numbers drill when I had a Scuderia on this forum. For now I plan to enjoy and keep mine.

I was scoffed at after estimating a similar number last February, based on cars I'd seen produced per day .... and that was after seeing several days of production!

The number is variable. If you are in the market for a car, or are envious that you didn't get an allocation, then they built about 10,000 of them and they are pure crap. They will soon be giving them away. If you own the car, then they made very few of them and you're lucky if you have one with a good spec. They can only go up in value from here.

The same amazingly variable number applies to dealers as well. When you go to buy the car from the dealer, they are super rare and you should be thankful that you have the chance to give your money to the dealer. If you are selling or trading, they're really not sure if they want the car and they are doing you a favor to even make a bid on it.

As the owner of CS, the Speciale, and a Pista, I can tell you the first two rules of the internet when it comes to Ferrari Production: Don't believe anything you read, and second, don't believe anything you read.

Pista is probably the greatest relatively mass produced super car of all time. The market values reflect that.

  17. They made just enough for me to get one.

That's all that really matters when it comes to "how many Pistas were made" question.
