I thought I had posted this but if not...May 1 thru 4, always a fine show.
I will be there, as usual. I missed the deadline to enter my new to me 430. Mirabeau Blue on Rossa. Got any connections to slip me in? Big car show in Kemah, TX. Can't enter your vehicle now, but you can attend as a spectator. Mix of old to new vehicles and boats.
Entry is actually by application almost a year in advance, I recall when my Ferrari was in "Art Car" trim, it was a little too weird for them! I don't show there, just enjoy my of friends that do, and have urged the Ducati Club to come down on a Group Ride. Be glad to link up with any "First Timers" and show you around. I usually dress well enough to wander in to the Judges Lounge, thank all the volunteers, and enjoy the ambiance of the building. Then it's back outside to the pool terrace! Be sure to look at a new Riva too!
I think admission daily is like, $40, but it's a fund raiser for a worthy cause. You will see cars that are really rare, I'm afraid the Ferraris are NOT the main attraction!! Although Risi has certainly sent some special cars over the years.. See you there, ross!!
It’s May 1 and 2. Sat and Sun. I’m showing my Ford GT Mk II. Track machine. Theme this year is “Ford vs Ferrari”. Peter Miles (Ken’s son) and Aaron Shelby attending.
Sorry about the mistake on dates.. Both days are good, IMO Saturday everyone is early and fresh, but Sunday at closing to get the see the runners fire up and leave, after the awards ceremony.
If I would have know this I would have got my sh——t in gear. Kind of hard when you are moving though..
The FGT MK II picked up a class win. Great time even with rain Saturday. Nice meeting Ross and my other Ferrari friends. Image Unavailable, Please Login

well deserved win! if you guys think the new ford gt is cool, this mkll is cool on steroids ! nice to meet you too Ajai.
I am going to say a bit more and post photos when I download my phone. As I knew, it was a HUGE success, but ross when above and beyond, sending for his Euro F40, when some cars cancelled. A well deserved win for the 512bbi, which of course most of the public would have never seen!!! Ford vs Ferrari was the theme, movie cars were the focal of our display, and also thanks to Franco Valobra, for sending Conciso! Which of course, also confounded the general public!!
On "the other side of the aisle, in the West Lot Movie display, were our own Dr. AJ, and he did as many have suggested, STARTED his Track Car GT for the crowds on Sunday! Wowza!! I did not realize the my old friend (and boss!) Tomy Hamon and his GT had been elevated to Director of the show....I will stop using his name, to crash the Gate Entry!! Met his wife for the first time, wonderful lady. They could not find ross either, in the big three ring binder!! But that DID work to crash he Gate and unlimited FREE programs!! He rolls below the radar, although I did see Little Ross and Mrs. ross on the way out Sunday. The Drive Out as usual was huge, with the LEO directing traffic as a "little rubber" might have accidently, been laid down, on the Clubs Private Drive.... When you stay "too late" (Club members going to dinner) the Shuttles stop running. The short (well, long) walk back to the School Lot, included a stop for dinner at Hooters, for relationship counseling (Sarah, 20...Baytown) ,,,and then after dark, a roof top drink at Barge285, watching the moored boats bob up and down.......(Ashley, xx....South Shore Harbor)
Dr. Ajs drive out was a real crowd pleaser too!!! Hopefully pictures, somewhere. Tomy Hamon made an amazing display of car control, as he barely chirped the tires, laid down 2' and then gathered it so smoothly, and turned left.... The FCA had to leave South Lawn early, as High Tide was coming in! I think the lawn there, will be okay with a little sand repair!! The Corvettes on East Lawn almost lost one but I think they finally found the driver and got it out. Ditto for the Rolls Royce, sunk deep in the Entry Circle!!
