Damn, would you be willing to make a pair identical to OEM F355 carbon seats? I will buy it in a heart beat.

Im sure there are a bunch of safety regulations and laws that would be broken if seats were made yourself.maybe if they were sold for “not for road use”...

Was discussed in another thread...people seemed to think there would be way too many small parts to reproduce to do full replicas. Would be a labour of love probably.

I just put the flash on and set the cell cam timer to 3 seconds. Slid it around a few inches back from the front of the seat.

Very early set of 129s on mine. Looks like your research is on the money shineken. Sorry upside down but not easy to get the iPhone under there...

There will be more “129” coded seats, so the obvious assumption is it is standard sizing. Very few narrow and large sizes. I haven’t seen the code for narrow yet.

Would be interesting to see what we find if those with these seats start looking at and posting their production tags.

Production number wise, I read somewhere here someone posted 80 pairs. Not sure where he got those numbers from. Only for GTB/S.

    If true, we’re looking at 80/2500 = 3% of GTB/S’ worldwide.

On my hunts I would say that's probably pretty close. Somewhere less than 5% is what I had guessed. I suspect US delivered cars are even less...although it's tough to say as so few come up for sale here.

I wonder why Bruce referred to it as 348/355 seats? Were these made available to 348’s as well??

Not that I'm aware of and I'm assuming he was talking about the Serie Speciale seats which IIRC are the F40 seats?

I do vaguely recall they were both made by the same company...

Don’t think he’s referring to those. Those never came on the 355 :).

Yeah I mean he's referring to both of them as different seats but same manufacturer and build process for the era of cars.

I'm assuming they made the F50 seats as well.

So few???????? Geeze I feel quite lucky, I had absolutely no idea when I got this car. I thought they were just the seats they came with...

Fwiw, I wouldn't personally place much importance on size or even color.

Get any of these seats in any size/color and have them re-upholstered to fit you.

Find large for example in beige. To bring down to functional med/small start with adding bolster padding until you're snug then trim down center insert to fit.

Or even simpler, if you want to re-upholster the inserts to a different color/material, make them thinner first. Sinks you further into the shell effectively making them narrower.

    I know Michael.

One of the cars burnt down in a dealership fire. It was yellow anyway though so nothing of value was lost. :D

Damn. I guess that’s the reason the seats were pulled and sold. That explains everything. He posted pics of them burnt and ultimately repaired them before selling.
