Yes, and FP2 also a good indication of Q performance.

Regarding Q performance, Di Resta had the best explanation for the relative amount of fuel on board during the simulation Q runs: for (the 2) teams that are right at the front, have a good performance margin in hand and need to keep the other guessing as to their true Q pace they tend to run a bit more fuel, estimated at about 40 kg.

For the others, like Ferrari, who have less of a margin, they’ll run less fuel, say around 30 kg, not to impress fans or the press—as some people here accuse them of— but rather to be more representative of actual qualifying conditions so they can optimize their performance. Because they understand there’s no benefit to trying to fool yourself and others when the true performance gets exposed on Saturday afternoon.

Based on this, I think, for example, Alpines will not be right behind the Ferraris tomorrow as they were today.

Rarely a pilot have disappointed me more than Vettel.
He is unable to question his mental weaknesses.
He openly demonstrated his submission to Hamilton including in the media genuflection ceremony.
And now he explains not being comfortable in his new car and gets humiliated by a midfield driver.
His four championships titles are the biggest usurpation in the history of this sport.
I would add Mark Webber looks like an idiot today for being beaten by such a driver..

Looking back at 2017 &18, one can conclude Ferrari really may've had the best car.

Yes, the Ferrari was good then.

Vettel was leading the championship until half-season one year.

I think it was in 2018, but I may be wrong.

Not much to gain from any of the runs as traffic seemed to impact most of the laps. Hamilton's fast lap is not as fast as these cars will go. Lapped traffic on this circuit will definitely punish a lap time.

He's a spent driver. He is the David Duval of motorsports...one day unbeatable, the next day can't come close to winning.

Terra, I'm in the same boat. I had such high hopes for Vettel. I didn't follow F1 when he was at Red Bull, so to me he was some hot shot with 4 trophies that we're going to give hundreds of millions of dollars to.

    What did I get?

A type of guy that purposely hit Hamilton with his car in Baku.

    No respect.

    Vettel has broken my heart.

He's a joke. At first, I felt a little bad about the way Ferrari treated him, but after seeing his performance, I get it now.

Hey, don't get me wrong. If Vet was a Rookie, or second string, no way I would be mad. But we paid him a lot.

I expect something in return when we drop that coin.

    That's all.

Do you realize that this driver has as many titles and more victories than Prost? Yes Prost!!

Looking back, I think Hamilton would have been a champion with the 2018 Ferrari, I have to admit.
With this dog of F2012 Alonso almost became champion..
How not to be disappointed today as a tifoso?

Vettel’s psychological state is almost a textbook case.
He is in a constant denial in the media and seems to be totally sincere, which is the most worrisome.
His emotional imbalance is now clearly a danger for other drivers in racing situations.
The Baku’s episode in 2017 should have been the subject of a much more severe sanction because it was indicative of his potential dangerousness.
Really hope for others drivers that he will be fired before the season’s end.

Before we go off the deep end here and start making claims that are utterly un-provable:

Alonso, Ricciardo, Sainz are all struggling at the moment against their new teammates as well.

I can't quite grasp what is going on with Vettel, we know by now he's quite sensitive to a particular type of car. In 2019 new front wing aero regs came into play (something permanent, and the time it started to go wrong in Vettel's performance). For this year the tyres construction have changed as well, which also changed in 2019 which reduced potential to overheat. Perhaps before this he was better at managing a tyre near the boiling point better than others, and extract more time this way, and with the new tyre others basiclly caught up?

What I do know is you don't lose talent that quickly.
