Have any of you guys done the 8 year major service on your FF, is so what did it run pls?
For my Lusso my service manager said to expect $2400 alternating with $1500 every year after free service was over. ...unless something breaks. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Interesting, It’s probably all the things they deferred from the 7 year service plan. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I’ll be taking my FF for it’s 8 year annual service soon (1st service under my ownership). This will be my first experience with the Ferrari service dept. because I do all my own work on my 550. I hope I will be pleasantly surprised with the experience. I’ve been looking through the books that came with the car trying to prepare myself for what I should expect the dealer to recommend. Based on what I can see in the service book that comes with the car, assuming mileage is less than 20k Kms/year, 8th annual service should be engine oil and filter, anti-pollen filter, engine air filters, brake fluid flush and new ancillary belts, plus of course inspection of various things like EPB function and some safety checks. This of course is the minimum. There is no interval mentioned for coolant flush and both DCT fluid and power steering fluid are only recommended to be changed at 100k Kms. I’m interested to see what my dealer will suggest as far as DCT and PTU fluid. 100k seems like a long time.
8k was something I saw for 8th year, but that included $6k powertrain warranty. Service itself was $1500-2000 range. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Actually it was $10000! I got a 20% discount.... First, they had the mechanic inspect everything and "recommend" what had to be done. The car is 8+ years old. They actually wanted to do more, but I refused. Took them about a week to finish the job. I suppose they couldn't return it in one day and charge $5000 labor! They claimed the coils should be replaced at that age. The car never had a major service. I was expecting about $5000, but as u can see it was quite a bit more. Ferrari tax...
Cars without belts really don’t have major services. I’ll try and read the invoices on a computer tmrw
In a nutshell, a major service changing most consumables and they changed 12 sets of coils ($2400) and labor.
In addition to all the consumables it's a flat charge of $5k for the service. California surcharge... nuts. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
My 8th annual service was performed for the equivalent of around $1800 (exc sales tax). The 9th was half that amount. The car is about to get its 10th annual service and I'm taking it outside the dealer network - not because my independent is much cheaper but becasue the service relationship is so much better.
you can spend a ton on preemptive maintenance - i did that for years with no obvious signs of value...i will replace the ignition coils when the first one goes. replacing plus every 7 years is no big deal as since December 2011 ive only put on 35k miles from new.
My car is 2013 F12 and just done 8th year service at the dealer couple weeks ago. I paid total of $1380 with 10% FCA discount. Brake fluid flush was also included.
