Finances permitting, the 812 VS might also be worth considering (even though I think blinding the rear window was unnecessary).

Agree on the Monza and the 812 VS. My statement was more related to the standard range models.

I agree. I would love a V12, but wanted a mid-engine more, and didn't want turbos. The only selling point to buying new would be to get the exact spec and color combo I wanted, but I wasn't willing to wait a year plus for it. But I'm probably not the target market for a new Ferrari. If I had the time to feed and care for one I'd be looking for a classic, but accept for now that I have to stick with the newer models. So it's a 458 for me, for now. I really can't think of anything they could do under the current regulations to make a new street legal car that's as engaging. (OK, bring back gated manuals :)

The mule is based on a 488 body and these are the original places of the exhausts on the 488, so I guess they are just left over.

I'm not sure what is inside the LF mule. I noticed the high central exhaust. I don't know if there is a V6 there too or is there something else. Unfortunately I don't understand a lot about engines. They explained to me that in V6 engines it's normal for the exhaust to be in that position

i just don't know how they'll be able to sell this thing alongside the F8. they're practically same size and layout. local dealer told me i could put an F8 order in now and there's an 80% chance i'd get it in less than 12 months. that's an Audi R8 build time. i think they're fast tracking those F8s to get as much profit from the R&D as possible before switching over.

They’re not going to sell them alongside the F8. This car will replace the F8. No more mod-engine V8 series production model without hybridisation.

F8 wasn’t supposed to be - but LB was delayed so F8 rushed out to fill the void.

The unveiling is scheduled for June, right?

I can't wait to see what Ferrari will do with this V6 Hybrid.

I expect the new V6 engine to have the MGU-H electric turbo tech from the F1 car. Also hoping its a car geared for driver enjoyment and not get into an performance arms race with Artura etc. If they've learned their lessons and take the design language cues from the Monza & Roma not from the somewhat severe treatment on the SF90 (which I like btw just not a lot) then it will be a beauty!

100% correct same thing that happened with 512M until 550 Maranello showed its face.

I agree. The V6 will become Ferrari's bread and butter. What they may do is brand the V6 motor as "DINO Ferrari" but not the entire car. I don't think they want this car to be a separate brand but they want to push people into V6's as their basic entry level sports car.

If it looks great, unlike the 812Comp or SF90, then regardless of engine or lack of sound the lil v6 Ferrari will sell very well. Too many people only prioritize the badge-n-brag, which keeps F afloat for sure.

so far the timing and everything i hear sounds amazing for this car and yours truly. were they to give it a svelte beltline and fenders like the monza and make it gorgeous- unlike SF90-sorry- just terrible looks- i'll be as excited as the day after i bought my gen 1 TT while i was broke in residency!

Rumors said around 650 hp for the V6 alone and 80-90 hp with the hybridization ( rear axle only).
