I keep seeing two folds that are an extension of the two taut lines that generate the rear volume of the tail. Maybe at the edges they are open. A little stream of air will go through it... But I don't think it's anything relevant. I repeat that for me two folds remain a stylistic element to give the rear a little more character. It’s true that each element performs a function, but let's not forget that it remains a design object
It could be, I never saw it like that until your drawings, but without your drawing I still see it as openings. It could be like the blue/gold dress internet thing. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
and yet they are not 'finished' in the sense of any molding around them or mesh covering these openings. Is the large panel (rear cover) surrounding the tail lights carbon fibre and not some plastic bumper cover material? The bottom edge of the cover (above the two horizontal holes) seems unsupported as to just flap around in the breeze?
Incorrect. The Infiniti Q50 had steer-by-wire almost 10 years ago, and was legally sold in Europe. No mechanical connection between steering and the front wheels except in case of failure. Anyway, 812VS evidently has 4 independently steered wheels per the Ferrari press release.
I sure hope Ferrari is not introducing steer-by-wire in the 812VS.. uh-oh: http://appft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&Sect2=HITOFF&d=PG01&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsrchnum.html&r=1&f=G&l=50&s1=%2220190126970%22.PGNR.&OS=DN/20190126970&RS=DN/20190126970 STEER BY WIRE ROAD VEHICLE STEERING SYSTEM PROVIDED WITH A MECHANICAL LIMIT STOP DEVICE FOR THE STEERING WHEEL Abstract A steering system for a road vehicle; the steering system comprises: a steering wheel provided with an outer ring, which is mounted so as to rotate around a rotation axis and has no connection to steering wheels; a position sensor, which is designed to detect the angular position of the outer ring of the steering wheel around the rotation axis; and a mechanical limit stop device, which is coupled to the outer ring of the steering wheel and limits, in both directions, the maximum angular width of the rotation of the steering wheel around the rotation axis, so that the steering wheel can make, on the whole, a rotation around the rotation axis that is greater than 360.degree.. how about 1 in Bianco Italia with the fill tri colore livery please. Like this Image Unavailable, Please Login
Since when? References please. I am not not referring to the minimal rear wheel steer introduced on the TDF and used on the 812, I mean the front wheels. I cannot locate any references to Ferrari front wheels being steer-by-wire, please provide.
If it is Titanio with Giallo striping, it is the same colour scheme that they released the Monza Sp1 to the media in! So this would make sense to me. Here are the two presentation cars to compare... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I believe the Monza launch color was something like Pure Metal Silver Met, which I think is very similar to Grigio Coburn.
looks quite nice but that Carbon bonnet stripe is going to make vertical stripes v v spec specific as to whether they busy the eye , or tug at the heart ..... I’ve gone poetic this eve as now I’m wishing myself to next wed 2.30 cet! The ferrari Voodoo dust is sprinkled all over me - it’s cast it’s spell .....
Well done, Alberto. What do you think? I think it will depend on how flush the CF is to the hood—too much mismatch, or varying mismatch front to rear will spoil the smoothness of the stripe. So, what do you all think?
Thank you @ingegnere For me this car is perfect with no stripes. On the hood there is this halo / boomerang and on the rear window there are the six conveyors that draw a virtual stripe. If the livery with the stripe is needed, I believe it looks better without going over the carbon. I agree that we need to understand how broken the hood is
If I had the chance to own one of the VS Coupé, I would configure it as my favorite classic Ferrari of all time the 1964 Ferrari 275 GTB/C Speciale! I am amazed by the beauty of this car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm amazed how you accuratley recreated Bianco Italia... really well done Alberto I fear Ferrari won't make the stripe run on the CF bar... that freakin thing is breaking the design. Hate it
