1998 Ferrari Berlinetta with F1 transmission has just less than 30,000 miles. The F1 style gearbox management system was derived directly from Formula 1 racing. The car presented in yellow exterior with Connolly Leather black interior. Not shown in the picture, scuderia shields wear added. There are no sticky coatings in the car. The major (30,000 mile service) was performed in 2013 by San Francesco Ferrari Dealer. New cambelts being in September, 2020 with an overall review of the car maintenance. The car is in immaculate condition similar to a brand new model with unblemished leather interior. Ferrari radio is provided with external CD changer. Two ignition keys are provided with the horse logo on each. FOBs include a red and one black. As seen in the pictures, complete set of books, leather tool kit, and inflator. The engine compartment is complete including all labels and side plates. The low mileage is a result of being in a car collection, Less than 30,000 miles in 22 years. Although bought in Massachusetts, the car has spent most of the time in the west. The price for the car is $75K. Delivery is extra.. This was the car at auction in BAT. BAT shutdown the auction 2 minutes after the last bid. Bids were coming in about 2 minutes apart. Scottsdale Ferrari is selling the identical car with 15K miles for $84,900. This is a solid F1 transmission and paddle shifting is fun and fast.

lol, ummm thats how it works, an auction has a time limit..bat even rests the clock 2 mins every-time a bid comes in and no one else was bidding on the car so auction ended, did you expect them to extend it another few days till they found you more bidders? lol scottsdale ferrari selling a car means nothing, its unsold and they are a dealer that can ask whatever they want, just like OP..market is the market.and market spoke..just saying, now if it was a gated manual would be another story.

If you actually want to drive the car, this is well priced to receive the manual conversion.

Changing the F1 transmission to a manual would cost about $2K using good used parts and a knowledgeable mechanic. Assume the F1 parts are credited since they are sought after in the market place. According to J.D. Power this car has a low retail value of $65,300 Average value of $83,200, High value of $106,900. Reviewing F355 values based on cars sold mileage, a 30K car should be priced at $2.6 cents per mile resulting in a price of $78K. In the Ferrari market mileage along with presentable condition drives price i.e a 6K mile car should sell at $26 cents per mile or $156K. 1999 Spider F1 with 5735 miles sold for $150K.

Correction 26 cents should be $26 per mile and 2.6 cents should be $2.6 per mile.

I don't see a problem with identifying a car this way given that, if true, one could then glean a great deal of info on the car from the auction comments themselves.

Don't get me wrong Im all for informative posts about the car in question and you're right the actual reference to the BAT aution wasnt wrong but it just seemed like that BAT comment was the opening for some unsavory "your F1 car isn't worth the money you're asking" kinda vibe. Whereby the seller is now trying to justify his price point. I don't personally care, I'm not buying this car nor am I interested in it and not trying to derail the thread at all. Let the seller ask whatever he likes, he's done his market research and feels his pricing his car appropriately. Just sucks to see fellow Ferrari owners/enthusiasts do that to one another. The sad reality of the Ferrari community. Oh well, c'est la vie.
