Having it done now and am told that it’s quite involved in a spider. Anyone been through this campaign? Should I add anything on while they do the disassembly ? Belts ? Thoughts ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Removing the top will allow you to easily replace fuel pumps, and if needed, the fuel gauge sender. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/360-top-removal-diy-part-1.427025/ https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/360-top-removal-rollover-valve-replacement-part-2.427091/ https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/360-spider-top-removal-diy-rollover-valves.427149/
Quoted about 8k for fuel pumps and lines and seals. Seems high since the labor has been done to get there. Thoughts ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just had it done in Jan. $2k total for pumps, seals, labor, etc. However my Spider is a 2004 so it has the access ports in the bottom of the top cassette which earlier models didn’t have. Maybe removal of the top is included in that quote?
All 360 Spiders after mid-year 2001 had the port in the capote cassette. I have a late year 2001 with the ports. So far, no need to open them. Fingers crossed!
Agree seems high. It is a euro 2001. Suspect no access but the parts seem crazy high as dandy suggests. For that price benefit of prophylactic change is questionable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The cutouts allow access to the fuel pumps, but are they large enough to access the rollover valves? What about the left side fuel level sender?
Wow. Thank you God for giving me the ability to turn my own wrenches. Some of these prices quoted in this thread are nothing less than blatant highway robbery.
I don’t think so, that would be too smart. “Hey a Tony! Whya you make a porta for a rollover valvea?? Thees a car rarely a rollover! Wastea of a timea!”
And the answer is ....... When I asked for an itemized quote I got aggregate parts 4500/labor 3500 I went to an open house today at the dealership for their new facility and got my answer. It’s a result of pushing the new premium plan to replace the entire( fuel )system. Ferrari will certify each component that is replaced but only if it all is replaced. I was simply asking how much it would cost to replace say the fuel pumps. So after chatting with the service manager, I’m replacing only the fuel pumps alone since they are next to the rollover valves and adds minimal additional cost and labor. Did they explain why the entire fuel system should be replaced? Does that include the injectors? Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
