    That is the AN/AVQ-26 Pave Tack laser/infrared targeting pod.

    I am surprised to see an RAAF aircraft in a US museum.

    Pave Tack was fitted to USAF F-111F aircraft, which were all digital. RAAF wanted to fit Pave Tack to their analog F-111Cs and we helped them do it at the F-111 depot at McClellan AFB in Sacramento, CA. Took a big digital adapter to do it.

    Like us, the RAAF made their F-111Cs available to just about any museum that wanted one after the F-14A compatible parts were removed.
