Thanks. I blame Anthony Pritchard for incorrectly captioning Ignazio Giunti in his book Scarlet Passion page 199 at the wheel of 1042 at Watkins Glen, where it was Andretti in his silver Bell helmet. :)

I don't really blame Anthony. My fault really of course for not checking what's written in books. ;)

I am very impressed. I love how Marcel say, he is an information Junkie! I get it. I love collecting all that stuff (on a WAY SMALLER SCALE)

I recognise that Lechler sample set from the Vignale thread :)

Thank you so much for your translation on the 312 letter. I had the gist but you filled in the gaps. Now I’m just left wondering why they didn’t call the car a 312 P2!

    Great photo. Thanks for posting.

The 250 Testa Rossa and 0704TR's first victory was at Buenos Aires 1958. Any old pictures of 0704's engine, Walter?

About 10 years ago I could buy a complete lot of color slices from a private individual in the USA. Unfortunately he did now the name of the photographer but all images were taken during the GP Venezuela 1957.
Of the 47 images I could purchase, 41 show the Maserati factory team, so I assume that the photographer had been hired by Maserati to record their much assumed victory. But it turned the other way around as the entire Maserati works team was destroyed during the race and Ferrari became the happy winner.
None of the photos were ever published (despite some images in my 2nd Edition of the 300S book).
This is one of the few Ferrari photos, showing the winning #0700. Unfortunately 60 years of time took its tribute to the slice.

1613GT gained the indicator lights and sleeved brake ducts at some point (later removed), but did it ever have the body vents added, that this car has?
