I have not been a driver of a 599 on track, but I have been a passenger. Definitely full on GT. Not a good track car imho, not even close. The GTO is another matter, but the 599 is basically the last front engined 2 seater V12 that sat in the GT line. Not sure I think it is even better on a track than an FF to be honest.

I'm the wrong guy to answer. Never got along with the 599, so I am negatively biased.

Actually the wet kerb weight is 100 lbs less for the 812 over the F12. The 812 feels and drives much lighter than the F12. In this regard the 812 is just on a totally different level.

Do you know what real wet curb weight difference is between the TdF and 812? It feels lighter to me by 100 or more lbs. At least.

I was invited several weeks ago to bring my TdF and SF90 out to Laguna for a two day event. From my Challenge fun of the past year, I am sure the TdF would have struggled and I would have over driven the car and to adjust so that post turn 3 and ... :) Would have needed to swap out the MPS4S for the day is my guess.

I can't imagine what speed I would have with the SF90 going past turn 1 down into turn 2. Would have been nuts.

I will admit that I didnt want to go wail on either car as i have gotten so used to the 488 challenge car. especially on laguna.

The senna’s been reaching turn 1/2 at 135-140 so I think ud be around that. I was at 120 in the ff

    Senna - 161 mph
    765 - 155 mph
    p1 - 155 mph
    918 - 154 mph
    720s - 151 mph
    488 - 145 mph

I've reached those speeds in Senna/765/720s

Cool! Well I guess I didn’t see it reached on the onboard I saw Sunday;)
So the SF is likely at 160 I would assume.
I definitely did not reach that in the ff lol

The rear wheel steering will make a difference at Laguna. I have not done it in an 812 but my 911 has RAS and I notice it more at Laguna than Sonoma or Thunderhill. I can come in hotter on turns 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10 with more trail brake and still keep the car flat. The 812 is porky compared to the 911 and, interestingly, has the same weight distribution but inverse, however I think the rear steering is a good equalizer, along with the power advantage you would have coming out of the turns. But I’m a novice track day driver.

Thank you! I was imagining a ton of speed in the SF and then potentially getting the braking system a bit weary needing to scrub off speed in time for 2.

I know how the 488 Challenge Evo did 11-1-2 as I have 4000 km on that car and 10 days at Laguna.

My brakes once gave out between 4 and 5 after a pad replacement on the 488C-E. So I am not sure I want to become the first person to test max speed coming into 2 in the SF :) . Yet.

To be fair; I wind up aborting w.o.t. 90% of the time as I am cresting. It's an adventure with anything above 700 h.p.

I found my Lusso was soooo heavy for 10/10ths driving combined with brakes that were not up to the task...sold immediately. Too bad, kinda neat car.

It’s a highway, back road kind of cars as long as it’s not too tight. 10/10 is kinda hard to find too & I wasn’t gonna risk it.

I did not buy my car for tracking. I bought it as a daily driver and for 2000 mile road trips
