That transition will take time, John Barnes hated FerrariChat because it took business from him (as Digital took over Print) and then John wrongly thought FerrariChat was run by Glickehaus and you knew the war those guys had. I met John in person at Crescent Classic and made it clear Jim had nothing to do with FerrariChat. John was so misguided I was a customer of Cavallino and John had them take down my ads.

John is still involved to consult, but great news the top guy in the world for Ferrari events, Luigi Orlandini from Canossa, is now in charge going forward. I think Cavallino will be better than ever combining what made it great in the past and then bring in a young fresh perspective. In the years to come FerrariChat will also be more involved. Something like a private FerrariChat VIP lounge etc where we can all meet up?

I hope there will be some Canossa tours planned in the US including some for FChat members...real driving tours a la Colorado Grand and Copperstate, not just driving from one Michelin starred restaurant to another.

I’m thrilled about the new ownership and the future of Cavallino. I’ve often pointed out what I felt could be added/changed about Cavallino to make it even better. Still, one can’t say enough about John Barnes and his family. We can all take issue with certain decisions that were made over the years, but John founded Cavallino and he built it into the most prestigious and elegant Ferrari Concours d’Elegance in the world, from nothing. That was no small accomplishment and it should be recognized.

Luigi Orlandini of Canossa Events, with whom I spoke a few days ago, will be announcing some interesting updates and changes to Cavallino and announce new, additional events, also in Europe and Dubai, in the next couple days.

I hope that won’t include introducing other marques onto the show field of Cavallino, thus diluting the uniqueness of the event.

Will that dilute the American version as those participants won't bother to transport their cars to the US any more?

So, FLA event won't be unique much longer, just regional ?
And maybe next they'll split US event in two (or more), CA & FLA or ... ?

No, I didn't say anything like that.
Canossa Events, being an Italian company, will soon extend the name/brand Cavallino in Europe and in the Middle East.
Luigi Orlandini, the head of Canossa, will present exciting news soon.

I didn't mean to imply you did and apologize if it came across that way or for any confusion it might've caused.
I merely made (somewhat tung-in-cheek) comments/suggestions based on my personal observations of what often seem to happen with these types of expansions.
Historically, it seems to lead events eventually becoming either too big and/or just former shadows of themselves, but either way, often end up loosing relevance among the hardcore enthusiasts.
    Perhaps this/these will be different.

Of course, I could be wrong, but I highly doubt they will change the venue. These people aren’t stupid. Cavallino, the Breakers and Palm Beach go together. Plus, there is plenty of room to grow Cavallino at the Breakers, if that becomes necessary. I wouldn’t worry about it at all.

I didn't mean to imply that anyone said that. That's my fear based off the new ownership HQ being based in Miami. I could certainly see it happening, I have hopes it wont.

    No worries.
Ownership HQ can be in Monrovia, Liberia, or on the Galapagos islands, or even in Delaware in a letter box, it means nothing.

I tried that in the early 2000's when a banker sponsor asked me to help him start a multi marque concours but the golf course grounds are owned by the city not the Biltmore and the city did not want to hear of it at all.

    Nice pics!

I’m surprised to see masks though. No where in Florida requires them outside.
