Sterling, your thoughts on the Type S Zero? This is the only I've seen come to market, I believe this car was with BH before moving to Hong Kong.

Helluva asking price as well; 3.28m HK. What's the difficulty in getting one of these state side if one wanted to do so?

The asking price is not unreasonable considering the KM on this example and the rarity of NSX-S Zero compared to NA1 NSX-R and even NA2 NSX-R. The Zero is an "R" in all other aspects aside from name.

For me the only detractor here may be the unusual color combination, but I'm sure someone will love it.

There is no legitimate way to get this car into the USA currently other than attempting to get it added to the Show or Display list (seemingly more difficult these days). Otherwise, one would have to wait until the car is 25-years old in 2025.

I had a 1996 NSX-T and that was an awesome car, underpowered but awesome. I have to say the new NSX just has never done it for me, don’t love the looks and underpowered as well. Hopefully they will come back with another one with better looks and competitive power.

With the current-gen. coming to an end in 2022, I am hopeful that the new Type S will be able to pick up the missing pieces and deliver what the namesake deserves.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see (T-7 days)

Already in contact with a local rep for the Type S. Sounds like the 300 spots should go fast. In some ways, the second gen NSX has been the most hated sports car since the 996 Porsche. But I don't care and actually sort of like the fact that no one has one (it seems like there is a Huracan around every corner these days). I can't wait to learn more about this variant. Deposit ready and fingers crossed!

Well, they are made in Ohio so I guess I'm not really surprised about the allocation...

Appears to be a final stab and grab to help the US dealers who invested in the program and sold
    only a few cars

Originally the mix was supposed to be 50% US and 50% ex US

The actual mix has been 2/3 US for the Gen 2

Mine will be 5 years old in October and has been great fun

So I had the Gen2 NSX for over 2 years. I personally liked the looks. I know some don’t. I really liked the steering and brakes. The acceleration was decent. Not great. The stock tires were murderous. I had the car break loose a couple times in a terrifying manner. But ultimately it felt like Acura played it safe.

imho, for the Type S to be meaningful in any way it needs to drop 100 pounds minimum and pick up 80 hp. We’ll see if they hold back.

If you drove the car, the first thing you’d think is this thing should have (and could handle) 100 more hp.

Id still be interested in giving it a go to see if it felt tangibly better than the car I owned. With just 300 US cars though, unlikely.

2022 Acura NSX Type S First Look: End of an Era (motortrend.com)

despite modest improvements on paper, i bet i feels a lot better seat of pants driving. same with nismo gtr, zenardi nsx, etc. japanese special models stats seem like no big deal but cars do drive much better. and will be collectable as ultimate jdm car all time. i like it a lot. wish c8 had these looks. doesnt have v10 of r8 but i like it better than the audi.
