Yeah, I’m ordering it for my new Spider. Had one on my 458 Spider also and loved that one too, but this is better. More glass and like the design better.

$10,695 + shipping. You would have to check locally for paint and install cost obviously.

I’m calling the people who put my other one on today to check on that.

I like it anytime we can see our beautiful engines.
You would think the factory would see how we like this feature and include it in their design.
Nice to have the option from Capristo to do it ourselves......

    Just my thoughts,

10,000 for glass back is much better value than 3000 for Apple car play. Lol

No argument there. Apple Car Play is $4K IIRC.

I suppose it depends on how you use the car. If the top is down most of the time, you see headliner...

    Not for me.

Yep, and most of that goes directly to Apple.

From what I gather it works the following way.

Apple chages a stupid amount of money for the car manufactures being able to install Carplay. If you are Kia, you just spread the cost out over hundres of thousand cars sold. It is not free, as everyone pays a bit, but it is insignificant and just calculated as part of the production cost.

With Ferrari the number is tiny by comparison, but Apple still want their rate for Carplay. So basically Ferrari has not much else to do than give the client the bill. That is essentially what happens. Does Ferrari add a bit of FAVT? Most likely. But probably not much as they knkw people are a bit miffed about the Carplay price.

Apple simply charges the rates because they can. It is no different than with their products. An Iphone 12 is not physically worth what they charge either.

No, the top folds before it. Glass is seen in it’s entirety with top up or down.

The Ferrari letter badge + the exposure of all the engine bay compliance labels takes away from the benefit of seeing the engine a little bit.

If it is like the cover for the 458 spider, the Ferrari lettering under the glass is something that can be added or left off.
I don't have a issue with the script myself. I kind of like it.......
The labels can always be removed if they bother you. With a bit of time and a razor you wouldn't even know they were there at all.
If somebody does remove them it might be a good idea to purchase an extra set (while they are still available) as the next owner might really want those on the car and ask for a discount when negotiating a price.

I didn't even notice the stickers until I read the comment... I'd probably cover them with black vinyl, or extend the black border on the bottom side of the glass to cover them.

Ah. Well still not my bag. It's been many moons and suns since there was a properly beautiful Ferrari engine to display in the mid engined cars. Lots of covers etc. but nothing technical and interesting.

Yes, cannot see the engine like on a coupe for sure.......BUT......the glass is just a much cleaner and richer look imo.

On the SF90 Spider it has a glass back, but again the same problem of not seeing the engine as much because of the location.
I also think the glass back there, despite the shortcomings, is much better looking than it would have been without it. JMO. Ordering mine tomorrow right after I pick up my car.

Agreed... I wonder if it is because stability issues. I have a feeling that being convertible, the potential chassis instability upon hard driving may crack the glass. I have heard that happened to many 720s.
