    A simple Q.
Why R "most" new EVs introduced lately are UGLY compared to running ICE models?!
Best approach is the Audi E-tron so far " IF I REALLY HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN GERMAN QUEENS".
+ the Porsche Taycan "I guess we all agree it is a Panamera with a twist".
Maybe the next EV Hummer "But again, also based on predecessor".

I mean COME ON, why not use same philosophy of designs to what our taste buds are used to, rather than going to such Futuristic/Nasa/unfinished looks? IMO
    MB EQS/EQB, Tesla, Lucid...etc
    Thank you,,,

    Mmmmmmm....
Not sure how to respond to such "courteous" reply Jerry!

As Ferrari owners/lovers/enthusiasts, we are all in the same race of change with all other Manufacturers to EV. And I guess that is more than enough to justify my concern/topic.
If you are more interested in such FORUMS regarding your AUTO discussions, or that is your Manner of discussion and way of addressing others, sorry, that is not my kind of PARTY;)
So keep your suggestion to yourself, I am more interested to hear what lots of other people have to say in which I value their opinions so much "and I really enjoy their enriching comments"!
    Thank you:)

Going off the multiple reports, folks didn't think that was funny or in good taste.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

This looks good but that's a Taycan with some Audi hints.

I think this is a symptom of a bigger issue:
Modern cars are ugly as ****!

That's fine. That's pretty much what all EVs are going to be a very common chassis with varying wheelbase with different body work. The bespoke chassis thing is going to be a thing of the past. No one can afford it.

Badge jobs are nothing new, nor unique to EVs and certainly will continue going forward. So far all the EVs have had very different layouts. I don't see any reason why EVs should have less variation in chassis than ICEs do now.

The architecture is completely different from an engineering stand point.

There are a few things to consider:
An ice converted chassis is a compromise so they are ALL new platform.

There are certain things you want to acheive when designing a new platform... The flexibility of an EV allows you to meet every item. So litteraly if you do it any other way... You are making a worse design. Why would you elect to do something different just to be different and sacrifice performance.

EVs are a massive massive capital intensive change for the auto industry. They will have to platform share more so than ever.

It just happens to help that nearly all the chassis designs can be acheived on any size shape and type of vehicle required. There really isn't any compromise from the chassis layout no matter what type or size of vehicle you are going to build.

Literally tesla should just make batteries and and chassis and let companies act as coachworks... Like they did in the 20s and 30s

Tesla sedan (and OG roadster) are clean designs.
Tesla truck is ridiculous . . . but is a brilliant design.
Fisker Karma is a good looking sedan.
    Rimac looks the part.
Mach-e is prob the best looking CUV (lol)
E-tron & Taycan have the look down.
HummEr would look great if there was ground clearance instead of black plastic cladding.

All the manufacturers are going 'futuristic' in a manner that would make all 60's-90's filmmakers of futuristic times happy. So expect more down that path.

Would I buy any . . . no. Personally I don't like being forced into a type of vehicle, so I'll keep burning fossil fuels to propel me as long as possible. But I still appreciate good design (and elements).

Living in the northern boonies, I need range and no worries during 0 degree temps. I’ll buy two of the last ICE cars with three pedals, even if they’re VWs. ;).
