Just purchased a Mondial cabriolet so I decided to sell my 1989 T coupe. I wish I could keep both but I have to be sensible.
I purchased this 1989 T coupe from the widow of Rocky Labriola around 4 years ago, a long time member on this forum and a great friend of mine. Sadly he had passed away just before the car was done with the major service so he never got to drive it. He had purchased it from the previous owner in Texas.
From what I was told, this may have been the very first of the 43 sent to North America (one for each dealer, 3 in Canada and 40 in the US), so it is a very special car.
As some of you know I have been a long time Mondial lover having owned well over 20 of all variants, so I am quite familiar with these.
Here is what I know about this car.

-it had a fresh major service done just under 4 years ago at about 650 miles ago. Italy service performed the work, Abe the mechanic who is one of the better mechanics I have met. There is no receipt as the entire service folder was lost by Rocky's wife, but you can verify it was done by calling Brian the new owner at Italy service. Current mileage reads 63,900 miles.
I can attest to the engine being in great shape as there are no leaks of any kind, and it runs perfectly, no issues.

-The clutch seems to be in excellent condition as well. It shifts smoothly in all gears.
    -Sunroof works perfectly!
-All lights work as they should, power windows, etc.
-Upper dash trunk/engine lid/glovebox solenoid switches do not work, but there are secondary toggles for every one including gas door.
-Door locks work but only the passenger door lock can lock and unlock both doors.
-The ABS light and suspension lights are on. Neither of which affects how the car runs. Not sure if suspension settings work however. It does have a nice stance as it is.
-The radio cassette player doesn't not work.
-owner's manual and both keys are included.

Since I have owned it I have replaced all 4 tires, all 4 tail lights, shift knob, added a Tubi exhaust so it has that incredible sound, replaced all hood shocks, pedal pads, and all 4 center caps.

All glass in intact and in perfect shape. All leather is surprisingly in great shape, carpeting has faded over the years. Headliner is as new.
The body is in OK shape given its age, there are several touch-up spots, dings, scratches, etc. No rust anywhere which is good, but if I was to keep this car I may look into getting it resprayed in a few years.

I will let it go for what I have in it, so the first $38,900 can have one of the rarest Ferraris in the USA ;)

A steal of a price in the current market. I would put it on BaT, they would eat this up, I think.

You've been involved with so many Mondial's.

How do you keep doing this?

    Envious is an understatement.

With your extensive experience with Mondials can you speak to how easy or difficult the solenoids are? I’m guessing they’re pretty straightforward. The suspension and abs might be a can of worms yet the car is gorgeous.

Still kicking myself for not jumping on the previous 1989 Mondial t Coupe with the 348 wheels you had for sale five+ years ago for 13 grand less.

    Times are changing.

No, the Tubi replaced that heavy useless exhaust. Wheels are original.

It would require removal the the center console which I have no desire to get into since all switches have manual back-up toggles. These cars are not too complicated by today's standards, quite refreshing to be honest.

No, that one was 8 years ago and the market has changed since. It also needed a few things more than this one, but had better body panels.

Is it still for sale? God this is tempting... love the understated nature of the mondial T coupe and the sound of the tubi-fied exhaust. Let me think on this..

That might have been me, JJ from Denver. Mine is an 88 3.2 Convertible and someone from FChat did inspect it for me up in the north west. I have bought stuff from ScaleDetails on EBay.

    Congrats on the sale ScaleDetails!
