Ran a 6.28 and backed it up with a 6.33 60-130 in my F8 today. The only F8 time I can find thats quicker is a 6.20 from Brooks at DragTimes on a drag strip.

For comparison, my best time in my 992 Turbo S coupe was 7.1. So, these F8s are very quick. Oh, and I’m also running heavy 22”/21” wheel and tire setup which doesn’t seem to have much of an impact on acceleration.

What’s insane is that 765’s are doing the 60-130 run in 4.7 seconds. That’s a massive difference and the F8 is FAST.

I know. It’s simply amazing for a stock car. My TT Huracan does it in 3.7, but it’s making 1200 whp.

I’ve already had a friend who has major electrical issues with a 765. I so want to like McLaren but I just can’t get past all the issues they have.

    The F8 is shockingly rapid.

I can forgive the F8’s sound, for the performance it delivers and now consider the 812 to be it’s perfect exhaust solution :D

F8 - knocking sound upon braking to a stop and starting from a stop. Dealer cannot fix it claims it is normal.

    765- No issues at all.

Sorry to hear, I’ve been warming up to the 765 as my belief that I’ll ever actually see a STO in my garage fades with each passing delay from Lamborghini.

Even the 720 is low 5's.

I'm not sure what this means. You must be referring to the guys running a lot more boost than I am and hitting high 2's or low 3's 60-130.

I'd trust my car to be more reliable than a stock 765LT or 720S, as much I like them. Huracans are tanks, and I'm not running much boost at all.

Of course your car with 1200 HP is a tank, take it to a track day and let’s see if it lasts.
The Macs are not reliable that’s why Robert has some as ring taxis.

The 765 makes the 720s look a bit slow, I can’t even imagine what that is... it must be crazy town and I want one!

You honestly aren’t attempting to say that because they’re used as ring taxis, McLaren’s are highly reliable are you? I mean, they didn’t earn the nickname “McLemon” because of their reliability.

As far as the track goes, I’d have no concerns about my car’s reliability. Based on Brook’s at DragTimes experience, the 720S doesn’t have the greatest cooling system as the car gets hot and loses acceleration consistency pretty quickly. So, even in that regard, I think my modified car is superior. Regardless, there’s really no point in arguing about it. If I wanted a 765 or a 720 I’d buy one. Just as if you wanted a TT Huracan, you’d buy one. I love my Huracan and I’m glad you love your Mac. But for me, there’s simply too many issues that I’ve heard about fist hand or read about to make me comfortable buying one right now. Enjoy your car!

Everyone just calm down, all of these street cars over heat and have other issues when pushed too hard for too long.
