Ordered my Roma 7/11/2020. I had a few special Leather options and it took two months just for the Ferrari factory to accept the options. It went 10G on 3/8/2021. Anyone have an idea how long it takes to go from 10G to 10R?

You received your car in 4 months! How is that possible? I ordered mine in October just a couple of months after yours and was just told to expect a Q4 delivery, "hopefully in October". Mine will be a year, maybe a little longer. I there some issue with certain dealers getting cars sooner or later than others?

Status....he was given an allocation right after his order. Most have queue up and wait for a spot. Dealer volume matters but given his location I am assuming it’s a busy dealer. Once you have the allocation from the dealer it moves pretty fast.

Hello you Roma owners. Is there a break in period for the car? Like drive under a certain speed for so many miles?

    4 weeks was 10G to 10R.

My notes say I got the VIN a couple of days after 10R.

Yes, but it’s not detailed or stringent. Manual just says avoid exceeding 5,000 rpm for the first 621 miles.

Earlier in the post someone said to the effect a V6 is a Maserati not a Ferrari. Historically Ferrari built 4 cylinders and V6's in the 50's. And will again...

    Good news and bad news.

Turns out the cruise control problem was the embedded pad/controller in the steering wheel. The dealer swapped their demo Roma steering wheel into my car and the problem went away. In the demo car, my steering wheel failed as well. They decided to lend me their steering wheel so I can use the car while a new one is ordered. It may take months to arrive with my stitching color. That was a very generous gesture on their part as it took out their demo unit! Kudos.

However there are several software bugs in the Roma still. Some are just CarPlay crashing out taking out major parts of the dash display. I’m using a dedicated old iPhone 8 so I still have to try my current 12 to see if it is the same.

But even yesterday with no CarPlay when I started the car front camera came on and never switched over to the main display. Went home watching the front road view pass by the whole way! Couldn’t change the display. Until restarting the car. That was the first time that happened.

It has little bugs like that where the software just goes balky. Doesn’t want to respond at all. So I leave it until I get where I’m going.

The main info pad so far has been fine tho. No issues yet there. Engine and suspension have been perfect as well.

So odd. Mine had issues at the beginning and now All good...except for not being able to minimize the car play to either side and have the tach up...I am stuck with the large format of CarPlay in the middle.

I had the front camera thing happen once as well. The only other thing was my alarm kept going off in the garage for no reason for three days it would just randomly go off. For some reason it stopped doing it and I still have no idea what it was all about but all good now for the last few weeks. Everything else has worked flawlessly.

    Thanks for the updates!

When I leave the garage I have to turn off the parking sensors first to keep the noise down. Try it and see if that adds to the weirdness.

I briefly tried my iPhone 12 today and it was more stable. A long drive will be interesting.

I’ll still maintain that the sw is not ready for prime time. Too many little gotchas to fall into. When it works right it is great! It it isn’t yet stable.

If I can find any deterministic cases I’ll pass them on...

IMO this is completely unacceptable from Ferrari. Pay max price, wait months and then release unfinished cars. The bloom is definitely off the rose for me.
