I thought that at the top of the thread but I'm unconvinced. Scale the car against the '65 (or WTF) Mustang on the transporter.
    I count 4 strikes against an Italia coupe;
    1. Car in this thread is smaller.
    2. Car in this thread has a B-pillar window unlike standard Italia coupes.
    3. Car in this thread has 4-lug hubs.
    4. Car in this thread, as BMWairhead pointed out, is fiberglass.

    The mystery remains.

And it had a fiberglass hood. Intermechanica was the same company that morphed into the one making Porsche spider replicas - in fiberglass!

    I would think Intermechanica.

The wheels are identical to those found on a Triumph TR8.

    I’ve discovered what this is.

But I’ll keep quite a bit longer....

Could this be a Shaugnessy “score”?

It’s not built in Italy, but the chassis could be. Body designed in Italy? Maybe....it’s not an Intermechanica.

Some sort of Maser, at least the wheels look it. Except for the vent on the fender I am tempted to say Triumph Italia. Rear and dash look a little like it.

Looks like a Maserati 3500 GT with the roof chopped off.

Possibly chassis number AM101.1428 if you check photographs on www.am101.org

Only thing is, rear lights aren't right. Too upright like a TR4.

That Fury makes me think of the one with the rabbits in the trunk in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot although the one in the post is an older year.

Saw that movie once and only once. Yuk. It’s a first year fuselage ‘69 Fury 1 or 11 Coupe (short lens tail light), might be ex-cop with the dual pipes and pie plates because coupe body Pursuits were (relatively) rare, keeping it from being crushed.
Kudos on the TR8/TR7 Sprint rims, have an 8 in the garage. Not sure but the ragtop from posted by 3500 GT is a 3500 Coupe that was chopped as was mentioned earlier. The dash alone confirms it’s a Maser. The little coupe itself is an odd one, the winglets make me believe it’s an Elva Mk111 or IV Coupe but I’m guessing and something isn’t clicking right with my cardar ;). Neat little find and pleased to know someone will get it back to its former glory. Will explore further......;)

    Good eyes here!

The Plymouth is indeed a 69 Fury 1 Pursuit. 440 HP...pursuit coupe..only 3 known to exist. Rare MoPar for sure, former VSP car. Fully documented.

Wow. Didn’t know there were only 3 left (never seen one in Canada, I would have remembered) and I know you meant 440 cu.in.

Sorry, but I missed this one.:) Isobel was correct, of course. Here are photos of the same Heron taken in the Atlanta area in 2018:
