I recently purchased the titanium 575 from Bobileff. This is a one owner car with a bit over 13K miles. I have owned 2 550M over the years but have always liked the improved interior of the 575. 550's seemed to be in limited supply especially when looking for a specific color. The car will be getting a 6 speed conversion over the summer. It does not have a FHP and is a MY 2002 In addition to the 6 speed conversion from what I read on the forum it would be best to install the steering ECU from a FHP-part # 175891 I assume this part is not available? Any suggestions and open to any other input regarding changes to suspension to make it more 550 ish I see a lot comments about suspension ECU as well Thank you
Steering ECU is very occasionally on Ebay - set up a worldwide search - there are probably flash options - try a search here on the part number - its been quite often discussed
Maranello Skunk Works can supply an FHP or custom curve steering ECU. First thing I would do if yours is an early 575 is change out the shock ECU if you have 183960.
Congrats on your new 575 Joe and I are both from the Philadelphia area Maybe we can all hook up for a nice country drive and lunch one day soon
How exciting on multiple fronts. Going to be fun having 2 f-chatters doing conversions around the same time. I’ll be looking forward to the stories!
Congratulations! Any pictures you can share? How long does Exoticars feel the conversion will take? Not that there is a competition or anything . I’m excited to hear about your progress. Also, please let us know how you approach the suspension as well. This is something we are looking into along with some exhaust system work.
Congrats! You bought my twin, it looked like a very nice car. If you cannot find computers to tighten up the suspension you can go with aftermarket coilovers. There are quite a few options for the 575.
The build for @white out s 575 is awesome especially as it pertains to suspension and his business sells a set up with a device to take away the suspension light as well.
Congratulations, would love to see some pics of the car! The new owners keep pilling up, might need our own 2021 new owners thread soon!
I will post some pics soon Just had the car inspected at Algar as I have not had any time to drive it I have a few questions: airbag light is on and Algar feels its the ECU which of course is not available? We can not get the TPM to reset -we suspect the TPM's need to be replaced as I know the car sat for some time-hope its not another unobtainable ECU? Wil still gathering parts for the 6 speed conversion-should have all soon. John from MSW indicated he can assist with steering ECU in a few months. Thanks for the help
If Algar did not try to reset the airbag light with an SD2, make sure they do that. TPMS sensors on the US 575M are 315 MHz Huf-Beru (North America) RDE-004s.
