On the Scud, the “headliner” is really just a heavy piece of rubber foam between the body and the mesh fabric. The Scud has a light-weight mesh fabric as a headliner, so I feel the bulk of the issue is the weight of this rubber/foam and the weak glue they used. I think the rubber foam weighs 20lbs on the Scud!! Nice weight savings just to get rid of it.

The Scud is a visceral car with alot of vibration, so over time things just start shaking off. I’d imagine shi**y roads would have the same effect. This is on a garage kept 25k mi Scud which has stayed in CA its entire life.

No issues on my 25 year old 30k mi 355’s though :).

My Florida excuse for the headliners failure is my logic that the Lexus LX 470 is 100% the best built vehicle I’ve owned , headliner replaced
Ferrari and Mini Cooper expected, traffic jams with the Florida sunshine is brutal on any vehicle..

I’ve only ever had 2 cars in my life where the headliner noticeably drooped on me (touching my head). The Scud and the Exige. The Exige is built like a kit car, so that’s expected. Ferrari builds cars that hold together only for the first 25k miles :).

Is the heater actually on when it's showing that?

Wow, 20 lbs rubber foam?! Hard to imagine needing material so heavy duty.

What about setting the suspension damping setting to snow? I flipped through the manual last week searching for engine light meaning, and came across the chart indicating snow mode to have softer setting compared to all other modes. Maybe that will help preserving the wheels.

Its true about snow mode, and good thinking, but that won’t do it. Its the initial hit that you are most concerned with and the roads (and drivers!) are that bad, you wouldnt believe it unless you see it.

I still think the combination of a Forgeline wheel that was initially designed for large SUV's combined with either a 265/35 or a 275/35 shoe, would be one heck of a strong set up. Enough? Don't know, but definitely a LOT stronger than what Ferrari offers.

Sorry to see that you’ve had such bad luck again. At least the wheel still looks true. Cheaper and less hassle to replace the tyre than the wheel...

It's just that I simply do not like the design of the three you mentioned earlier...

Btw I have ventilated seats coming on/off as they like, heated seats also plays around. Switches are replaced three times - no difference, changed battery - less times this happens, but still happens...

I still loves this car - so do not get med wrong, but yes, low RPM "hick-ups", for some odd reason I now days get all the smell from the outside into the car (driving behind someone smoking, and I get the smell of smoke into the car - how odd is that?), from the beginning I had strange noises from the wheel suspension when driving over sharp speed bumps and stuff with the front wheels. There are more, but well I just live with it :) I still love this car, but for a bunch of reasons this is my last Ferrari.

$3k for a full set of new Lusso wheels from the dealer? Surely not!
