we shall see Dusty. These things tend to increase in cost when push comes to shove....never decrease.

if this gets too $$ a preowned Pista might be a better option. Pistas have asking prices of around MSRP...

Will be a fun car, regardless.
Have been in London, and you get to see everything here.
The most exciting IMO are the Lambos and the wonderful variety of colors/specs.
The 488/F8’s go by silently in comparison. Even the rogue 765LT was noisier!

It all about emotion at this level. I need to know that this car is more emotional vs a Speciale...is that possible?

Good question, as no one has actually driven the reveal.

My guess (and $$$ bet) is it'll be 'special', but we'll know for certain in a few short months once deliveries are received.

Feedback from users, many of whom are long term Lamborghini owners, and some whom have had the Special, should start to appear.

I enjoyed the Perf Spyder far more than the Speciale. But there is no denying the playfulness and pedigree of that Speciale. The STO, from what I hear, is the Perf coupe plus a few degrees. I expect the note to be similarly loud, yet ultimately a bit synthetic relative to the NA V8 in the 458’s.
My $ still going towards SVJ Spyder.

    We have very similar tastes!

I agree it does look really busy.

Well, I passed on the build so I doubt it.
There is going to be a more core Spyder sendoff of the Evo (not an STO) so that may do it.

So I was at the Lambo dealer with my buddy the other day and he told me there’s a new version coming out for the Aventador that is after the SVJ. The SVJ was supposed to be the last of the last of the last. Now they’re saying the STO is the last of its kind but is it really? Is the one thing I can’t stand about Lambo endless variations in limited additions that are not limited

There's two V12 models coming out; one will be a final edition V12 probably 150 cars and more expensive than the SVJ, probably close to a million dollars. The other V12 is a modern day Countach to celebrate the Countach anniversary which will cost the same or more than the Sian. There's an internal dealer preview on May 17th, not sure if they're showing both cars.

The STO will be last track variant of the STO. There's no hardcore EVO spyder in the works because it makes no financial sense to come out with a track focused spyder which would cost $400k+. Not many buyers willing to spend that kind of money for a Huracan. If they decide to come out with a final edition Huracan it'll probably be a paint special like the XAGO/SVJ63.

Bottom line is it's hard for Lambo to milk the V10 because the STO is already at it's price ceiling however Lambo can continue to milk the V12 because it seems like there's no price ceiling and they're still finding buyers to pay ridiculous amounts for a very outdated car.

We decided against the STO. Went through significant deliberation about this decision. The fact that Julie didn't like it made the decision easier.

focusing back on Ferraris....Speciale or Speciale Aperta and a TDF.

In the hunt, made an offer on a TDF. Will get whatever pops up first, TDF, Speciale or SA.

Not the news buyers with deposits wanted to hear...

    "Corsaboss said:
So I have some bad news...I’m in for the October allocation through Lambo Dallas. They have a hold on all allocations going forward on the matte and shiny carbon options as well as the option of having the contrast color option. Carbon delay is due to sparco who makes the carbon. They said it’ll be several months until new orders with exterior carbon is possible. The standard (included) carbon of the hood ducts, fender vents and shark fin is not affected. I went ahead and ordered mine without the exterior carbon packs. $364,960 with delivery and fuel charge included.

Spoke with a friend from London and his dealer (HR Owen) also confirmed the delay. He also mentioned the delay might mean some customers might not receive their STO until next summer and allocation might be trimmed."
