Without the codes we would not know where to begin .. let me know if you need anything else You are welcome - always nice to start the day helping someone out have a great day
I leave the 430 in Race mode so that icon never shows for me. Nicely done! For the rest of us, what did you diagnose and what did your course of action do? Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
@Moopz Unlike some of my other diagnoses, this was not as scientific but more of a SWAG I saw that he had a steering angle sensor issue and what looks like a communication issue with the BUS I figure, the sensor could be bad or something threw its calibration off ( again a guess) So by resetting the power and hopefully relearning the most right and left parameters it may have helped - it does on most BMWs, MB etc I am not sure it is fixed but we shall see
If you leave it in Race Mode the dashes are still there. If you look closely, they are under the word RACE. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I’d still have the battery tested. Wouldn’t be the first “new” battery that was bad. Sometimes these more “specialized” batteries sit on the shelves at the auto parts store because they aren’t big movers. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Thank you everyone for your suggestions and help. It’s back to normal and fixed. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Maybe it's a 2006 to 2009 variance? Clock shows up in other modes except Race. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Interesting .. it is true the electronics did change in 2008 so maybe that was one of the subtle things that changed along the way Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
I have heard of issues with those brand new from a mechanic friend who experienced them first hand he won’t use them any more. Have you checked voltage drop? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Dominick- I saw it, but in my opinion Optimas are terrible batteries. Would never let one near one of my cars, let alone the Ferrari.
I did a load test on the battery and it’s in good shape. I think what started all this was, I was checking the car with my Launch without my glasses on. I must have pushed the wrong button. Never again! Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
The launch, like any power tool can be great and dangerous at the same time Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
CST off (photo 2) is required for LC so that could make sense especially if the manettino was not perfectly in its detent
There was a time I swore by the red-top Optima. now I only swear AT them. they've apparently changed where and how they're made. I don't know too much about that, only that the last three I've purchased, Lasted less than 18 months. I've been having good experience with Odyssey batteries. They might be my new "GoTo".
In the US, Odysseys are good, Brailles are good, Interstates are good, and so are those made by good companies with other names like Diehards, etc.
BTW, I had the same issue but it turned out to be a faulty brake light switch under the brake pedal It was sticky and sometime would stay on... So I would be driving on highway and over certain surfaces/undulations, I would suddenly get same CST error and it turns out the brake light switch was getting activated and that was throwing an error. After replacing/adjusting brake light switch car back to normal, no more errors...
