I have a story to back this up. As God is my witness, this JUST happened about 10 minutes ago. I was on the phone with my father, and I remembered he had this nice looking Seiko automatic watch with a blue face - he must have gotten it in the 70's, but I thought he received it when he retired. I asked him if he still had it, and he said "yes, do you want it?" I said "yes!", which is awesome - to get my dad's watch, that's great. The story gets better - he asks "do you want my father's watch?" I said "yes!", my grandfather's watch - a Gruen Precision, this with the bottom placed chrono dial, really cool looking watch. So I just scored 2 cool watches for nothing, and they are sentimental to me. But I asked my dad - "what happened to watch your company gave you when you retired?" He said "oh, I actually got two of those - one for 25 years, and one when I retired. I gave them to your nephews. You know what kind of watches they were?" I said "no, I thought Seiko?" He said "nope, they were both Longines". I was floored - you gave a Longines watch to my nephew (his grandson)???? You gave the other one to another nephew (also his grandson)??? WTF??!!! I'm happy he gave them to his grandsons, one of them is really happy and loves the watch. The other nephew - he's a putz, and now he owns a really awesome watch that was my Dad's retirement gift!!!
Was just having this discussion, this is the combo to get! Gold/black Rolex! Next on my list I think. Looks amazing man, thanks for sharing.
Wow! That's a watch! I'm always happy to see watches like this Ploprof instead of the umpteenth Rolex!

Appreciate it, thank you! This or the blue dial are outstanding, just personal preference. For me...the black goes with the tattoos a bit better
Cheers brother!! Looks amazing! I called my local AD in regards to an 18K black dial Sea Dweller and she told me that it's not available, only what is listed on the official Rolex website is what is available to purchase. When the time comes, I will have to hunt around for a gold/black Sea Dweller for myself. The Sub is too small for my wrist unfortunately. Thanks again for sharing and I hope you have a great weekend.
