    Thank you for your comments.
I really like how the engine compartment opens up. I normally drive without the engine cover so that the engine is visible through the back glass.

As a comparison to its contemporaries of the era, 365BB, LP400 Countach, Pantera. The Bora may not have been the fastest, most powerful or attention getting, but it is the best built, engineered and refined car of the group by a wide margin.

Noticed how easy it is to change the spark plugs compared to a modern Ferrari or other exotic. Lots of room in there and a beautiful Maserati.

It's the very antithesis of Lamborghini V12, I own both. Carb linkage is simple as well. Let's not talk about the horrors of the carb linkage on a Lamborghini V12.
I beleive that this Bora has all electronic ignition too, same box as QPIII and Porsche 928 so no points to futz with. It has superior torque as well. But it won't rev like the Lambo does. It still makes fabulous noises. When get one of these set up properly they are sweet to drive.

My late father had a 73 4.9 Bora. Driving at night the green glow of the instruments was a cool look. And the brake pedal pushed back at your foot the harder you pressed. It had a nice low idle rumble and V-8 growl when you put the power down. It does have a level of sophistication the others lacked. His first exotic was a 72 Indy...also a nice car but not as impressive as the Bora. GLWS!!

Ironicaly what works against these cars is their sophistication. The general rule its the more raw an older car the more desireable, plus of course sophistication means hard to put right.
The Bora was in away the first modern Gt car.
Agreed on the design, nicest car of the era.
These days many seem to have euro bumpers and I imagine engine power can be restored and enhanced from the low compression smog era.
I remember seeign on in a FL dealer in 1994, 16 miles and I think they were asking 42K. I often wonder what ti would have taken to put that low mileage one right.

Beautiful car, part of the trio, BB, Ct and Bora. Ideally one of each.Thorw in a Miura as the front bookend and a 288 as the end. After that its all pretty much blah.

The USA versions just needed some carb jetting, elimination of the air injection and pollution crap plus a re-curving of the ignition advance. Not hard at all. About 320HP is all that's there though. Very expensive to get it to 400 but it's been done by a few.

The big rubber bumpers are the hard part but you can make the front one look really nice as has been done here.
The brakes weren't popular here in the USA but on the TRACK! They're virtually fade free, tremendous power with good pads. Not so good on damp slippery roads and forget about ice & snow.

Ice and snow would probably rust the car faster than the drive, lol.
Remeber when 300hp was more than enought. but those were the days when one could cruise in the 80-120 range, or just work a mountain road.. Now its all about mega hp to accelerate to 80 in traffic.

Am I the only one that thinks the price asked is simply stupid low, based on the condition/miles, versus many other things that are selling in this price range?

Some high production 993 era Porsches are bringing that money, or more. :( And? I LOVE the 993 era!

Wishing the poster a good sale!

My dad had similar taste. He had an 83 BBi, a Bora, Indy, Lambo 400 GT and a 288. No Muira though. He loved the Bora a lot!!

Ive had a Lambo 350 Gt and Lp500s,
Had the BBi 27 years not( the keeper)
Alas never tried a 288, in my mind its the one.

The Ct looked great but was a terrible car in may ways.
350Gt was quicker an a euro e36 M3 once on the fly and was light and lithe
