I have been asking for repro prices too, but the price was way too high and indeed, an original lens in perfect condition was required. I am expecting some front blinkers to arrive next week , should be perfect.

Hi combined FC Brain! I found the following parts at the bottom of an early US Mondial Coupe door and cannot identify them. Anyone recognises anything?

Happy to donate them to anyone on need for shipping cost coverage :)

?? No idea, and think it is not Mondial related. Maybe some parts they used in fabrication proces to hold the window cables in place.....

Thanks Guido. I think it's not related to it too.

No, those are not Mondial parts, I can confirm, although these rings make me remind of the safety belt bolt spacers.

    Excellant work, really cool thread!
I'm up for some front lenses but mine are in constant use on the car and are crazed in any case.
    All the best Bell

Cheers Bell! You're the only one who's shown interest in the lenses. I have restored mine and will continue to use them for the time being too.

Good day Mondial Folks - Questions for Interior specialists or owners with 3171 guards red interiors:
    1) What color is the original stitching on the leather?
    2) What color is the original stitching on the black vinyl parts?

    Thanks!

Could anybody please tell me if the black top of the dashboard (not the cluster), top of the door trim and the corresponding black section on the rear quarter trim has a foam layer below the vinyl/leather?

Hi Josh thanks I am talking about a potential layer between the plastic and the visible trim.
Mine doesn’t have one but in some areas where the vinyl was loose on the lower edges lots of yellow dust came out. Made me think that that was the leftover of a disintegrated foam layer.

I am rebuilding the HVAC due to a leaking heater core and some vacuum servo failures.
The housing parts were assembled with a non-sticky elastic sealant and then secured with pop-rivets.
Does anyone know what product to use during reassembly that will remain dry soft and non-sticky?
    Thanks for suggestions!

I need to do my heater core some day and hate the idea of taking the dash out. How about a few step by step instructions or tips. Pictures help of course.
    Thanks

Unfortunately, I'm not able to suggest a good sealant for the core assembly. However, I wanted to compliment your renovation efforts on this car. Your resourcefulness and abilities are enviable!

Happy New Year All - stay healthy!

Question: Would anyone kindly post a straight-on picture of a "Maranello Concessionaires Ltd" rear window sticker with the overall dimensions? I can't find any images online. Thanks!

    Hello All
A stone was thrown from a crossing truck in the opposite freeway lane and cracked my windshield - I did see it bounce off the bonnet and hit the pax side, leading to a growing crack:

When the MOT came up, it was time to chance the windshield - which turned into a nightmare:

Behind the finisher and below all the sealant, the car's original color re-appeared:

    Finishers saved:

As expected, there was a fair bit of corrosion behind the finishers:

It was decided to go bare metal on the roof and repaint the whole area:

    The roof was repainted silver:

A new windshield was refitted - original part:

    Image Unavailable, Please Login

but incompetently - leading to leaks and breakage within the first couple of weeks:

and severe delamination all round with water ingress:

So... add a leaking clutch slave, major coming up, a stack of new/used but good body panels, advanced corrosion in some areas on the body...
