That’s a very premium price for what is one of the most common color combinations. Low mileage, though!

As a 458 owner this is exactly what you want to see. Now, if you're a buyer, maybe not.

keep in mind BJ Scottsdale has always been a muscle/hot rod auction with a few others sprinkled in including exotics. many many times I've seen Ferraris sell 50% over market there. if you watch it live, you can figure it out, the old guy is spending 7-digits, his hot young thing tipsy on the environment and White Claw's gets her little Ferrari too.

Remember last year (or was it 2 years ago, feeling like I might of lost a year somewhere) when they guy bought the 458 Spyder for his wife and paid about $100k more than it's worth. Some people just don't care. Happy wife = no life... or something like that

Ok so by transitive properties my 4600 mile 15 Spider is worth $300k.

I'll let it go for $290k ... PayPal for deposit is [email protected].

I wouldn’t read too much into this. This is the same
Auction that Justin Bieber’s Liberty Walk Ferrari sold for like a 100k over.

Not surprised by this at all and happy to see it! Last year pre COVID, the 458 values bottomed out and started to appreciate from that point on. Now we are starting to really see that. The last NA V8 Ferrari is no joke and it's in very high demand, especially the '12 -'15 my, since they "supposedly" worked out most of the bugs the earlier cars had. Most infamously, catching on fire and roasting to a crisp!

How many 458's caught fire and burned to a crisp? If you are referring to the glue compound issue this occurred to a handful of 458's and was a very early production issue. That issue was a recall covered event and the very few that were affected would have been corrected. If any unit you may be interested in has not been corrected a simple VIN search by a dealer would reveal the need. What are the other "bugs" the 2010 and 2011 had that were "supposedly" worked out?

I think all pre-2013 458's are junk because mine is a 2013. When I had a Gallardo I thought the undesirability of the 2004-2005 cars was silly because I had a 2004.

    I wouldn't avoid a 2011 or 2012 458. There isn't much difference with the later cars.

The catching on fire was a recall item addressed on all 458’s and fixed across the board. Also the known tranny sensor issue was never worked out and affected all 2010-2015 MY. There are no other known major issues that were fixed on a 2015 versus a 2010. The only major reliability issue is the Tranny sensor which can blow the transmission and Ferrari never fixed this issue and it has effected just as many later model 458 as it has early model 458. Lastly, the only other known major upgrade on 2012+ 458 is the software update that reduces the sound volume and the cracking and popping of the exhaust note, which is only found on 2010-2011 458 making them sound a LOT more aggressive...it is actually more desirable to have a car that didn’t get the software update which makes the exhaust sound a lot more tame and guys with 2010-2011 458 when their car is in for service will specifically tell the dealer to NOT upgrade the software. Given there are no reliability issues addressed on 2012+ 458, I would buy a 2010-2011 because the sound is so much better.

    Incorrect imo ….

2010 and 2011 are similar, the 2012 and -> were updated

I actually believe this is the model which had a complete front fender/bumper/hood replacement due to an accident. I saw it at the show in person and that was listed, but I can't find anything on the listing.

can't remember if I posted this or not, but on average BJ Ferraris are below average and prices often bring above average.

It was the glue and it was only 5, so Ferrari recalled all 458s and rectified the issue. It could have been many more if they didn't.....
I honestly don't recall the other issues.
The preference for later model years w/ all makes and models, is common knowledge. Every new model comes w/ its "bugs", that eventually get worked out through the years....

Interesting input and I agree on the sensor. I just had a new box installed in mine due to a tranny failure, that my dealer felt was due to the sensor. Thank God I have the power warranty and the $40k job only cost me $4,500 in the annual fee!

No. It has to do with the fact that BJ is a place for insecure well-to-do blow hearts measuring dicks.

BJ is so tacky it beggars belief.

    Typo, I meant to say 2010 and 2011. I personally wouldn't avoid any 458.
