Another season another poor result. Not optimistic about about F1 for Ferrari. Frankly, I doubt the upcoming change in formula will bring a change in outcome.
    I hope I am wrong.

All things considered it wasn’t terrible. They’ll fight for 3rd place.

2022 - maybe some podiums for Ferrari.

2021 - Even Bottas can get P3 in the "crappy" Merc ;)

Sorry, but third place is second loser. Time to stop making excuses for years of failure.

When you come from 6th place the previous season, 3rd is an encouraging improvement.

Binotto was pretty happy to finish one minute behind.
    Difficult to be optimistic.:(

Yes I expected Mclaren to be a lot stronger and Ferrari have zero chance in that fight. In F1 things don't get turned around quickly. This is a positive step so far and above expectations.

Yep, I’ll take an improvement, especially with the Covid numbers in Italy.

Groundhog Day? Possibly..the battle we’ll have with Mclaren might be reminiscent of the Alesi /Berger tussle with the Benettons.

Binotto has been VERY open in the press about this year - It is not a focus. 2022 is. There is nothing to see here. Read the press from Binotto. He expects and warned fans to be expecting issues or less than perfect performance with this car. It is a slow recovery year as Bas pointed out. If they disappoint in 2022 then Binotto should be gone and quickly.

Very very true. Even FA has stated as such. No major issues for either team this year. They have made clear their status'.

    I am not so negative.

Given the dog we had in 2020 (and the current frozen rules) the team have done a good job with the car.
I can't say its no longer a dog, but at least it isn't a three legged one.

How much of McLaren's performance is down to their trick rear diffuser?
Will the other teams, including us, copy it?
The Merc engine will of course help them against us, but I think we might have a chance.

As for the top two teams , they will be a minute down the road, sadly we are not in that fight.

Agree with above, 2022 must be make or break for Binotto. If he hasn't delivered a top flight package he must go.
This will be apparent in about a year from today.
